Archfoolishness: The Archbishop And The Imam

The Archbishop of Canterbury, a known arch-progressive, and the first female head of the Church of England, in a fit of wokeness publicly honored a Muslim Imam -- on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11. 

She awarded him the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation 2026.

The Muslim imam in question, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi himself had presented an earlier award.

He presented it to Osama Bin Laden.

Ashrafi awarded him the title of the award of "Sword of Allah"  and that's not all. Ashrafi has supported suicide bombing,  Islamic terrorist attacks against Britons and others.

Most people would consider this to be highly irreconcilable and uncooperative regarding other regions.

When these issues were pointed out, and a public outcry over the insanity of giving it to the Imam in the first place ensured, the award was revoked.

Ashrafi received the Hubert Walter Award for Reconciliation and Interfaith Cooperation 2026 from Archbishop of Canterbury Dame Sarah Mullally at Lambeth Palace in London on Sept. 11, the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the United States.

The immediate controversy over the Lambeth award concerns comments Ashrafi made in 2007 following the British knighthood awarded to author Salman Rushdie.

Media reports quoted Ashrafi as saying that the Pakistan Ulema Council would honor bin Laden with the title “Saifullah”, meaning “Sword of God.” He described bin Laden as a “mujahid” (holy warrior) who had fought for Islam against Russians, Americans and Britons.

We may also note that the archbishop, who has made feminism a keystone of her liberal progressive archbishop focus, and has publicly vowed to call out misogyny, also had no issues presenting the award to the Imam as female members of his family looked on - in full burkas. She then failed to call out such misogyny.  Funny, that.

The lack of self-awareness among the progressive left and their complete blindness to the clear anti-progressive intolerance of Islam is rather fascinating and disheartening.

Of Course They Did

After Macklemore was kicked off Ed Sheeran’s tour following his Gaza stunt—bringing partisan politics and what critics called antisemitic imagery onto the stage—he was out.

His past antics probably didn’t help either, including a performance in which he appeared to give a Nazi-style salute while dressed as a stereotypical caricature of an Orthodox Jewish man.

Off the tour he went.

And now the predictable outrage has arrived: the Left claims his removal somehow violated his free-speech rights.

So, of course, Dearborn’s Progressive Muslim mayor has invited Macklemore to perform a free concert in Dearborn—sponsored by the city and, therefore, supported by taxpayers.

Then there’s Hamtramck, another Detroit-area city with a large Muslim population.

Its former police chief, according to reports, advised officers that wife-beating should not be treated as a formal crime because it isn’t prohibited under Sharia law.

That claim takes on an especially ugly dimension given allegations that the former chief himself repeatedly beat his wife. Those allegations are just that—allegations—but they make his reported position on domestic violence all the more disturbing.

The chief is now out of the job amid allegations involving this conduct and other corruption issues. He was also the founder of the NYPD Muslim Officers Society and the Yemeni American Law Enforcement Officers Association, and I'm sure there's no possible issues with either of those organizations.

The larger point is difficult to miss.

A movement that presents itself as progressive and tolerant can still make plenty of room for people and ideas that are deeply hostile to liberal democratic values.

And the history is hardly new. Islamist movements have, at various times, found common cause with fascist and Nazi movements, including the infamous alliance between Nazi Germany and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem beginning in the 1930s.

How very progressive.

Electing Progressive Prosecutors Has Consequences

A car jacking took place yesterday in Oakland County, resulting in a woman being shot during the event. The woman was with her child at the time in the parking lot of the mall.

 Do note that none of these stories identify the attacker, even as they note he is an "Ann Arbor Man" and is on probation for a prior violent offense.

Yes, you know why.

And the attack should never have been able to take place, as he should have been in jail at the time of this attack.

The Detroit News: Carjacker should have been in jail for prior violent attack, sheriff says

 The "Ann Arbor Man" was previously convicted for a crime committed in late 2024. Said assault consisted of hog-tying and suffocating a woman in Washtenaw county. He should have been in jail for the assault with intent to do great bodily harm in Washtenaw County.

But he was not.

Instead, he was released on probation, because of the Washtenaw County prosecutor's progressive policies. 

The Washtenaw County prosecutor is the woke progressive Eli Savit.   The same Eli Savit that unleashed a raft of progressive policies in the County like ending zero tolerance policies, not accepting prosecution for illegal items discovered during traffic stops and for minor offenses, and other progressive pro-criminal policies. For equity and racial justice, of course. 

This is the same person the Democrats are running for election this year as Attorney General of the State and who as Washtenaw County prosecutor.

So the criminal the progressive prosecutor let off on probation after assaulting a woman now went ahead and shot a woman. 

Democrats talk about a war on women, and they are indeed fighting it - but not on behalf of women.

A Convenient Scandal: Swalwell, The Media, and the California Democratic Shakeout

Democrats and the mainstream media have a rather incestuous relationship, where they benefit and cover for each other.

Now that the Democrats need to whittle down the field of potential Democrats running for governor of California due to the jungle primary system that they created, Eric Swalwell has to go.

You see, California Democrats instituted a jungle primary where the top vote-getters, regardless of party end up on the ballot.

The idea behind the jungle primary was to eliminate Republicans as candidates for office.

However, with such a large field of Democrats running this time, with none of them willing to conceded, this has created the potential for the unthinkable - the two Republican candidates may end up being the sole survivors of the primary with the larges share of the primary vote.

The Democrats can't have that. Would seriously upset the one-party apple cart.

So, the Democratic field of candidates must be reduced and if they won't leave, willingly, conditions must be arranged to make them drop out.

So, and funny how that happens, credible allegations of serious sexual assaults that happened over many years, on the part of Swalwell have suddenly and most conveniently surfaced now. 

It knocks him out and serves as a message pour encourager les autres  that if there's dirt on them and they're not a star of the party, they may want to step back.

So why reference the media?  Because the Democrats and the mainstream media both knew about his activities, and both covered it up so long as he was a party member in good standing:

The Dems are cosplaying with Handmaid's outfits while tolerating sexual harassment and outright assaults on women so long as the perpetrators have  (D) behind their name, and the media both covers it --and covers it up -- for them.

Progressives Protesting Against Their Own Progressive Interest

So what leads women who dress up like this:

To protest in support of the Islamic mullah-led government of Iran, that makes women dress up like this:

 Heck, how do you explain how progressive Calla Walsh, a former campaign worker for  Senator Elizabeth Warren can get on stage in Iran, complete with the obligatory hijab, and on live Iranian TV recite "Death to America". ?

She is progressively propagandizing for a regime that, among other heinous things, requires women protestors seeking freedom to be raped before they are executed to prevent them under Islamic law from going to heaven, which they would if they died as virgins? 

These progressive women are quite simply fantasizing when they claim the government under President Trump and Republicans is a burgeoning theocracy that will force them to wear the snazzy red outfits.  Not going to happen.

Indeed, the Trump administration is taking active steps to free women currently trapped under the material of such similar outfits in Iran, far beyond the platitudes and lack of action of the progressives and prior Democratic leadership both. 

At the same time this is going on, these progressive women protest on behalf of a Islamic regime that, by any metric, abuses women in a fashion even the fictional wankers of the women's fantasy that run the theocracy in the Handmaid's Tale would find repugnant.

How to square that circle? 

It's basically a combination of fantasy, ignorance, and the Red-Green progressive alliance.

After all, with the fall of the Soviet Union, it looked to progressives that western civilization was in its ascendancy and communism and its promise of socialist paradise just wasn't going to happen.

So instead, they sought out support of regimes and peoples that while anti-progressive by word, act and ideology, stood the best chance of destroying western civilization that these progressives had convinced themselves was the source of all evil.

This is how you get progressive LGBT-ers protesting on behalf of peoples and regimes that think that the best LGBTer is one who is given a flying lesson - off a multi-story building. And it is how you get women protesting on behalf of regimes and ideologies that, if these same women were under their control that regime would systematically strip them of their rights including their rights to protest.

Never mind that women and indeed all mankind have never been freer than they are now in places where western civilization is ascendant. The progressive believe it is a hellhole where any moment now they will be forced into handmaid's suits and a socialist paradise waits around the corner if they just protest enough.

The Socialist Paradise they work for never actually arrives mind you, and if it does it inevitably fails in hunger and poverty, and is discarded by them as not a real "Socialist Paradise".  Progressives then try out the next one to lay their hopes upon.

So why the Red-Green alliance?  

Well, Islam is the only force, aside from Communist China, that right now has a real capability of tearing down western civilization, especially if the progressives in positions of power give it a helping hand with open immigration,  protection of it from criticism, and giving Islamism a free rein in their countries.

Somehow, the progressive figure, just like the gnome underpants theory of value, that if they stuff in enough Islamists, it will bring down western civilization and then lead to a socialist paradise where the enlightened progressives end up on top like white saviors to lead the unwashed Islamic hordes to paradise.

This cunning plan of the progressives has holes in it, a lot of them, to say the least.  

It doesn't have a good track record. Indeed the progressive leftists in Iran who supported the overthrow of the Shah by the Ayatollahs were among some of the first to be executed by the regime of the Ayatollahs.

But the plan is what they've got, even as it lacks any logical consistency, and it explains the rather inexplicable love the progressives have for people that are decidedly the very definition of UN-progressive.

Boys Do Not Belong In Girl's Bathrooms

For darn good reason.

We have the incident and scandal in Loudon County Virginia with the skirt-wearing boy attacking girls in girl's washrooms, and the progressive school board helpfully covering it up until the truth was forced out.

Now unfortunately we have an incident locally:

The Detroit News: Suspect, 15, in Plymouth sexual assault arrested

Police said a woman was attacked when she exited a stall by someone hiding in another stall. 

The attacker was described as a White male with short brown hair, between 15 and 20 years of age, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 120-140 pounds.

Turns out the POS attacker in this local case is 15 and was apparently acting out some kind of sick rape fantasy.  Interesting how the media is blurring out the POS's face, in their broadcast of the footage of the attack. The POS' face should not be blurred but instead be posted far and wide so people know to be on the alert for the scumbag.

Unfortunately, I happen to know the victim.  She did successfully fight off the POS, and is physically ok, but traumatized and not able to go into public restrooms right now, and that is fully understandable.

In short, boys do not belong in girl's bathrooms regardless of whether they are wearing a skirt or not.  

If you have girl plumbing you go to the girl's room. If you have boy plumbing you go to the boys room not the girl's room.  Not hard to understand, nor enforce, progressive fantasies about gender to the contrary.

The Taliban expanded their interim Cabinet by naming more ministers and deputies on Tuesday, but failed to appoint any women, doubling down on a hard-line course despite the international outcry that followed their initial presentation of an all-male government lineup earlier this month.

The Taliban really couldn't care less about an international outcry, and the limits of soft power have now been demonstrated and yes, found wanting. 

Yep, the Taliban are having their very own, and very real war on women, protests of the progressive international community notwithstanding.

Around 50% Of Michigan's Population To Get A Very Tiny Tax Break

It's being done for woke purposes, of course.  This tax cut being touted as such an accomplishment will save a segment of the population about 60 cents every 28 days, or as much as a whopping $7.20 a year.

On the upside, we do have Democrats actually pushing for a tax cut in Michigan.  We do not see that very often, if at all.

Yes, its part of the false claim that the tampon tax is somehow discriminatory towards Women when there's no evidence for that position.  

This is especially so  now that the progressive left insists people other than women menstruate and they will try to crush any who oppose this linguistic abuse.  As such, a tax on tampons now cannot be a discriminatory tax on women, right?

Let's note that toothpaste, deodorant, clothing - including one may note women's clothing including underthings that only women (or at least used to be only women) wear, and other such sundries and necessities of life are indeed subject to sales tax and removing tampons from this very generalized non-discriminatory tax, and will do nothing to reduce the cost of these other items needed by all for health and well being.  Claiming the "tampon tax" is part of the mythical War On Women is rather trite and overstated.

Indeed a court, with a female judge no less (clearly co-opted by the male system, natch) recently ruled when some women sued over the fabled tampon tax that:

The judge noted that the tax was not specific to a certain gender, but only levied on the products because they were considered "tangible personal property."

“There is nothing in the evidence or allegations to suggest that the products are taxed because of a discriminatory intent, or that the lack of an exemption results from discriminatory intent," O'Brien said.

So it is a very minuscule tax cut done to try and win cheap political points among the woke women out there, not to remedy any real discrimination.  it's also being done to try and score points on any who might oppose this woke act of playing with sales tax system.

Still, sixty cents is sixty cents.

Yes, no kidding, they had one.  

Too bad both the University and the UN didn't concentrate more on anti-corruption, basic civilization, how to progress beyond the 7th Century, and how to go about effectively fighting the Taliban before getting into higher-level esoteric gender theory.

On the upside, and it's likely to be the only upside to come of this debacle, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan will provide lots and lots of ongoing opportunities for progressive feminists looking to research what an actual misogynistic patriarchal society looks like.   

You know, they can now study in detail an actual society run by Islamist religious uber-zealots where the Handmaid's Tale is the least bad that can be expected, with burkas instead of snazy red and white uniforms.

This is, of course, assuming they want to leave the comforts of claiming the United States is a terrible misogynistic country par excellence where there is an ongoing systemic war on women, and also leave the comfort of their academic towers and taxpayer-funded research grants to do so, in order to head out to see what a real hellhole and actual war on women looks like.

Heck this list of the #MeToo list from 2017 is almost completely Democrats with the exception of a reference to the true target of #MeToo, with allegations against Trump.

It seems that for far to many Democrat males (and I'll use the term male loosely here as the term lowlifes would be more fitting and accurate), while they publicly mouth the "You Go Girl!" and rah rah feminism cant, they seem intent on trying to use their power and privilege, in the words of leftist ideology, to get a leg over on their female underlings.

Heck this is why Democrats believe there's a War on Women - Among Democrats there really is a War On Women and female Democrats experience it at the hands of high-status Democrat males on a regular basis.

The problem is they extrapolate their experiences at the hands of Platitude mouthing Democrat lowlifes to society at large where for most people it does not go on and is neither permitted nor accepted as normal.

Where are the Marches for Women for the women and girls of Rotherham, Rochdale and Telford?

You know, actual victims in a very real War on Women.

Thousands of women abused, including multiple rapes, beatings, and murder, with the powers that be covering it up as the perpetrators were from a politically correct protected class, namely gangs of Muslims in the UK. The police and other enlightened public officials did nothing for fear of being though racist or through class snobbery that the lower class girls simply had it coming to them. Hell, in some cases they returned the victims to their abusers to be raped and beaten yet again.

Reading this stuff makes feminists' overblown ridiculous fears of a "Handmaid's Tale" scenario under President Trump at its worst seem like a flipping vacation paradise. But this isn't some dystopian fantasy, it has been all too real.

Trump just by being elected gets marches all over the world with women putting on pink hats and protesting him because he wasn't Hillary and their unfounded fears that he's going to turn back the clock on women's rights, or something.

One would think feminists would be outraged at this decades long series of serious crimes and cover-ups. Hell, anyone with half a conscience should be shocked and outraged by this scandal.

What an opportunity for Women to protest against real violence against women.

Yet where are the marches and protests against this enabling of this insanity?

Detroit Democrats Helping To Lose The Real War on Women

It's not just the corruption that's endemic to one-party controlled cities. It's the incompetence. That incompetence, combined with a revolving door justice system leads to criminals being allowed to remain free to prey upon their victims, in some cases repeatedly.

The Detroit News: 2nd backlog of untested Detroit rape kits found

A second backlog of more than 500 untested Detroit rape kits languished in storage for years after more than 11,000 other unprocessed evidence packages were discovered in a warehouse in 2009, prosecutors say. Out-of-state laboratory workers discovered 555 additional untested rape packages while testing some of the untested rape kits that were found in 2009 in a police warehouse, Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Maria Miller told MLive.com. The additional rape kits were collected by Detroit police in 2010 and 2011, and eventually sent for testing in 2015.

The failure to process these kits have allowed rapists to remain free to commit other crimes against women. You can read the article for plenty of examples of criminals who would have, and should have, been caught had those tests been done rather than shuffled away, but one statistic leaps out:

Worthy said earlier this month that testing of the pre-2009 kits resulted in 78 convictions and the identification of 784 suspected serial rapists believed to have committed sex assaults 10 to 15 times each.

That's 784 uncaught criminals committing in total between 7,840 to 11,760 rapes on women in Detroit alone.

Think about that - 7,840 to 11,760 rapes in one city alone by a small bunch of criminals allowed to go free due to the failure to process basic evidence from the scenes of the crime. Considering Detroit is a city of less than a million in population, that's a horrific statistic. That's your real war on women right there.

So What Were They Protesting Anyways?

Verily it seemed that the women's marches were nothing more than collective tantrums of the left after Hillary lost. Much sound and pink fury, signifying nothing.

After all, Trump had barely been in office a day before they were off congratulating themselves on marching against things he has yet to do and likely won't do anyways. Heck, leftist women around the world were marching to protest his election - which is rather ironic when you think about all these same leftists complaining of alleged outside forces influencing the election of Trump by the exposing of Democrat malfeasance.

In any case it is truly kinda hard to take them seriously when they're dressed like this:

Sorry but while allegedly marching for women's rights as a whole, dressing as if you're one particular body part is rather short-sighted, pathetic and just plain stupid not to mention counter to the concept that real women are more than just said body part.

Why Do Anti-Gun Democrat Politicians Keep Commiting Crimes?

While the Rolling Stones may have famously sang that "Just as every cop is a criminal", they likely could hardly have imagined "every Prosecutor a Pimp".

Then again, they likely hadn't had any encounter with Michigan's Ingham County Democrat anti-gun prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III.

Dunnings, 63, faces one felony charge of pandering and 14 misdemeanor charges, including 10 of engaging a prostitute. The pandering count — enticing another person to become a prostitute — is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Pandering as in inducing a woman to engage in prostitution as reported by Mlive.com.

It seems like an awful lot of the claims that anti-gunners make about gun owners, whether claims that gun owners are violent or criminals or such, is just projection of their own natures. Mr. Dunnings, essentially a prosecutor-for-life in solidly Democrat Ingham County, has quite the track record of being against law abiding citizens having firearms.

Allegedly Prosecutor Dunnings was a very good client of a sex trafficking ring.

Apparently he was quite the regular patron, and at one point

allegedly using his position to coerce a woman who came to him for help with a child custody case to have sex with him for money, according to court records.

Do note this is not just anyone doing such a reprehensible deed. This is a county prosecutor, someone who prosecuted people for the very wrong acts he committed, likely at the very same time he was doing them himself. That there's a credible allegation that he as a prosecutor used his office to entice someone to engage in prostitution is rather shocking. One would think a prosecutor of all people should know better and act better.

Then again as a Democrat politician, perhaps he simply thought he could get away with shifting from screwing people wholesale to retail.

One can note that Mr. Dunnings is endorsed for reelection by: United Auto Workers, Fraternal Order of Police, Greater Lansing Labor Council (AFL-CIO), and the Michigan Education Association.

Now that he will resign effective July 2, methinks they'll be pulling their endorsements considering these revelations.

Yet another illegal combatant in the actual war on women.

At the time of his terrorist attack, he was out on bond after 40+ cases of sexual assault and being implicated in the murder of his ex-wife. Yes, 40 sexual assault cases and murder and he was out a free man until he took over a Lindt chocolate shop in the name of Allah and killed people before the police revoked his bond, permanently.  It has yet to be explained exactly how and why someone can be charged with 40 cases of sexual assault and be released to walk free.

Or the case of Rotherham where police and council decided to cover-up 1,400 cases of child sexual exploitation by Muslims, including not charging those caught with their proverbial pants down,  for fear of being either labelled racist or daring to point out the problem of lack of assimilation of these immigrants and their failure to accept such British values as not raping children.

Now in Detroit we have a warrant backlog leading criminals to go free including both murderers and rapists.

Many murderers and rapists were thus set free, and many went and did their crimes yet again, and again.  One example being reported being the case of Jamieson Kelley:

After his release from police custody, Kelley was charged with raping three more women in 2013 and 2014. He pleaded guilty in November to 15 charges of criminal sexual assault, among other charges, and was sentenced to between 22 1/2 and 50 years each for nine of the rape charges.

The failure to issue the warrants is being blamed on budget cuts, as so much of Wayne County's money has gone to corrupt politicians, political supporters in return for votes and feel-good projects rather than being used for essential services like prosecutors and crime-fighting.

Apparently women's safety sadly doesn't rate in the overall scheme of things these days.
