With this revision, instead of the casualties being 70% women and children as falsely claimed by Hamas' Health Ministry, and believed by the gullible around the world, the new percentage when looking at the revised Hamas' Health Ministry stats is that 72% of casualties are males of Hamas combatant age. 

Funny, that.

In short, even Hamas' own stats are showing that Israel is not only not committing a "genocide"  but also that the civilian casualty rate is again lower than claimed by Hamas and they're caught lying- yet again.

Don't expect the media and those who have been reporting and believing Hamas' lies to apologize for such anytime soon, nor to be at least a tad bit skeptical before reporting claims from Hamas as credible.  It's clearly too much to as news agencies to state when they republish Hamas' casualty claims that Hamas has been caught making these casualty figures up multiple times now.

Pro-Hamas Students Disrupt MSU Trustee Meeitng

Instead of walking out like weaklings, the MSU Trustees should have stood their ground and handed the disruptive idiots some green and white binkies, and told them to shut up as adults were talking.

WTF Michigan Libertarian Party?

The Michigan Libertarian Party's Facebook page had quite the wtf post this past weekend:

Yep, that's some classic Anti-Semitic imagery to falsely imply Jews secretly control the government of the USA. One certainly would more expect this kind of post from the Democratic Socialists of America, and not a party touting themselves as libertarian.

This, of course, explains why Biden is withholding both intelligence information and weapons from Israel, right? Logic is hardly the anti-Semites strong suit, and so-called libertarians that are anti-Semites seem to have even less logic than most.

Yes,  that particular post was removed once it was called out.  But it was removed without any explanation or apology.  I halfway wonder if the poster is the same anti-Semitic dipstick who posts plenty of anti-Semitic stuff on Right Michigan.

But verily, both Michigan Libertarian Party's X and Facebook feeds are still quite the hive of scum, villainy, simplistic arguments, and indeed multiple posts full of anti-semitism and anti-Israel posts.

I daresay, Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, Murray Rothbard, and Friedrich August von Hayek would be much disappointed in the Michigan Libertarian Party posting this garbage.

So Hamas And It's Useful Idiots Demand More Humanitarian Aid Deliveries From Israel

The University of Michigan Pro-Terrorism Encampment

Note this is not the Dearborn campus, where it would be rather expected, instead, it is the main campus at Ann Arbor.

Intifada of course is the Hamas (and Fatah) campaign of terrorist bombings, shootings, and knifing attacks against Jews in Israel of which the October 7 attack was a part.

Note well they are praising the Intifada. 

To praise the Intifada while at the same time as claiming they are all for a ceasefire is disingenuous at best, and almost but not quite material support for terrorism at worst.  Makes the students useful idiots at best, with a strong sprinkling of progressive and Islamist fellow travelers.

We will note that Gov. Whitmer has so far still failed to condemn the Dearborn chants of Death to Israel and Death to America, and has now decided to do a "fine people on both sides" bit in regards to the University of Michigan - because she wants the Islamist votes for the Democrats, and she apparently equates people calling for global terrorism to be the same as those calling for Hamas to release the hostages they took on October 7 - including Americans still in captivity.

Hamas Health Ministry Admits Their Casualty Numbers Are "Flawed"

The credulous and anti-Israel world takes Hamas Health Ministry causality reports as gospel.

Even though this is the same Hamas-run Health Ministry that outright lied about the casualty count when the Hamas rocket hit the Al Shifa Hospital parking lot (500 claimed when they tried to pin it on Israel when in reality it was less than 50).  The same Hamas-run Health Ministry whose casualty reporting is statistically rather suspect - with casualty numbers that increase perfectly linearly daily throughout the conflict.

Well, the Hamas Health Ministry just admitted they have some flaws.  As in a lot of flaws, as in massively overstating casualties sort of flaws.

The Hamas-run Gaza Ministry of Health said on April 6 that it had “incomplete data” for 11,371 of the 33,091 Palestinian fatalities it claims to have documented. In a statistical report, the ministry notes that it considers an individual record to be incomplete if it is missing any of the following key data points: identity number, full name, date of birth, or date of death. The health ministry also released a report on April 3 that acknowledged the presence of incomplete data but did not define what it meant by “incomplete.” In that earlier report, the ministry acknowledged the incompleteness of 12,263 records. It is unclear why, after just three more days, the number fell to 11,371 — a decrease of more than 900 records.

Prior to its admissions of incomplete data, the health ministry asserted that the information in more than 15,000 fatality records had stemmed from “reliable media sources.” However, the ministry never identified the sources in question and Gaza has no independent media.

In other words, potentially half of the 33,000 Health Ministry reported casualties that the Arabs and the world uses to claim Israel is committing "genocide" may be entirely made up propaganda by the Health Ministry.

This would reduce Israel's terrorist to civilian death ration to below 1:0.5 from the current 1:1.8.

Global average ratio of terrorist to civilian death in urban combat is around 1:9, with the US military being  around 1:5 or 1:7 by comparison.

In short, Israel is likely now running the most civilian-safe intense urban combat campaign in recorded history - against an enemy using civilians as human shields, deliberately emplacing itself and fighting from civilian locations, and providing no shelters for the civilian population.  

The Islamists and their fellow travelers claims of genocide in this conflict are simply so much bushwah, and should be treated as such.  Those making such claims are either an outright pro-Hamas idiot or just a credulous idiot - pick one.

Anyone that claims there is a "Gazacaust" or "genocide" occurring in Gaza needs to go find the nearest tree and apologize for being a waste of oxygen.

When Intersectionality Leads to Ridiculous Outcomes

The left has this weird concept of intersectionality that all oppressed (as defined buy the left) share a commonality against their oppressors (again as defined by the left). Sort of a big tent of the aggrieved and oppressed groups that the Left hopes will rise up and well, they really haven't really thought it through all the way,

A major problem  with intersectionality is often one leftist group of the "oppressed" is busily oppressing another leftist oppressed party.

This leads to ridiculous outcomes.

For example - Queers for Palestine  - Gay people backing Islamic believers that just happen to impose the death penalty on gays, t because they're gay. Typically this done by throwing them off rooftops or hanging them from cranes. Because, per the Left,  Palestinians and Gays are both "oppressed" and thus should mutually support each other even as Palestinians tend to support Gays for but a short moment as they lift them up to drop them off rooftops.

The hilarious part is Queers for Palestine busily protests against the only country in the Middle East where killing someone who is  gay just because they are gay is illegal - Israel.

Abortion is, you guessed it,  highly restricted in Gaza and the West Bank - by the Arabs. Women can be beaten, jailed or killed for having an abortion.

The protestors, of course, aren't protesting that.  Heaven forbid.

Instead they're trying to find some weird intersection between the US Abortion issue and support for the terror attacks carried out by Hamas - the same Hamas that would jail, beat, or kill a woman for daring to have an abortion on demand.  Oppressed peoples and all that.

Of course they are not protesting these conditions but are instead protesting Israel, where abortion laws are a lot more permissive than under Hamas, so much so that Arab women often cross into Israel for abortions and medical treatment that they need without fear of being beaten, jailed or killed.

To a leftist apparently this insanity makes sense.

I daresay they're very much protesting in the wrong intersection.

BLM And The Mary Poppins Standard

There's currently a wave going across America attacking our history and historical figures on the grounds that if they aren't meeting the Mary Poppins standard, they must come down.

The Mary Poppins Standard you ask - why that means those figures from the past must have been practically perfect in every way.

If not, then down they must go.

Since no historical figure can meet that standard, all must come down, at least if they're of European origin.

Amazingly, some descendants of those historical figures have drunk deep the progressive Kool-Aid and have decided to kow-tow to the demands of the mob.

The Latest In Leftist Virtue Signalling: Sanctuary Restaurants

The latest form of virtue signaling for leftists to show they are anti-Trump is being a sanctuary restaurants.

It's rather unclear what this statement that they will offer sanctuary will now include.

Of course Zingerman's in leftist Ann Arbor has signed on as has quite a few other restaurants in Michigan as reported in Crains Detroit:

Colors and Russell Street Deli in Detroit as well as Zingerman's Deli, Bakehouse, Creamery and Roadhouse locations in Ann Arbor and Zingerman's Cornman Farms in Dexter are among the approximately 80 restaurants participating. Restaurants in New York, Minneapolis, Boston and Oakland, Calif., are also part of the movement.

So will the restaurants now fail to verify employment for their workers which is after all against the law and may expose them to legal sanctions, or is this simply virtue signaling writ large to attract a certain clientele?

A more important question for this movement is: If you fail to pay for your meal and leave any of these sanctuary restaurants, is that no longer an illegal dine-n-dash and now merely undocumented dining?

Gee, I wonder Why That Is

Kevin Drum, writing in Mother Jones magazine can't seem to figure out why it is that Anti-Semitic violence is on the decline in the USA but on the rise on Europe and elsewhere.

All Mr. Drum seems able to conclude is that:

I just thought the stark difference between the U.S. and Europe was interesting, as was the fact that the U.S. numbers appear to be driven by overall levels of violent crime, while European numbers are driven by something quite different.

What ever could that "something quite different" be? Amazing how he lacks the ability to look at the data and even hazard a guess. It's apparently an imponderable and great mystery to him.

There's an elephant in the room that Mr. Drum dare not mention and keep his progressive credentials, and he tries to claim the far right is behind the uptick in violence and ignore the jihadi behind the curtain.

As always with the progressives, they fear that dark night of fascism is descending in America when instead it is on course to land in Europe.

In this case Drum and his fellow progressives just can't mention, nor even consider, the I-word -- Islam -- and radicalized Islamic adherents in these regions which would well and truly explain the source of the rise in Anti-Semitic violence outside the USA.

Tuition at University of Michigan is quite expensive, and as much as it's touted as world class for education it seems to have completely failed to teach these students both critical thinking skills and to question a media narrative.

Here's a quick tip: In order for your life to matter, don't rob a store, don't assault a cop and don't grab his gun.  Especially don't grab a Black cop's gun as he's going to shot you even faster as he won't have to worry about a grand jury investigation and allegations of racism and rioting if he defends his life. 

Don't be a thug and you'll do just fine - but of course they apparently don't teach that truth at the University of Michigan.

The Strange Love Affair Of The Left With Islamics

One of the greatest tricks Hamas and other Islamic movements have managed so far is to convince the hard left that they are leftist themselves.

Sure, Hamas, the PLO and others vocally avow a socialist system, socialist as is typically defined where those at the top live well and those at the bottom are oppressed proles, but they profess socialism nonetheless and the Left eats it up.

At the same time, these Islamic and Arab terrorist movements avow principles, beliefs and actions that had they not already been the left's darlings would have put them on the persona non-grata list typically reserved for the Tea Party, Republicans, Israel and America.

So the Hamasniks and their supporters and others like them get away with systemic and profoundly anti-gay actions, anti-Semitic actions, anti-minority activities by the ton, and treatment of women that equates to a real war rather than faux "war on women", and commit war crimes by using kids as human shields and child combatants (no doubt to be reported as "murdered innocent civillians" if killed, yet they get a pass on all that.

Would anyone else get the kind of support from leftists that Hamas and its ilk are getting if they did these things?

The romance of the Left for the Arabs and Islamists seem to be both residual from when they were good Soviet client states against the West, and a current bromance as the Left seems to buy hook line and sinker that they are oppressed peoples with no moral agency, and so long as they are anti-Israel and anti-America then the left is their ally and they can apparently do no wrong.

Since 1995, Hammack and Brothers have received their health coverage from Kaiser Permanente, where Brothers worked until 2009 as a dietitian and diabetes educator. “We’ve both been in very good health all of our lives – exercise, don’t smoke, drink lightly, healthy weight, no health issues, and so on,” Hammack told me.

The couple — Lee, 60, and JoEllen, 59 — have been paying $550 a month for their health coverage — a plan that offers solid coverage, not one of the skimpy plans Obama has criticized. But recently, Kaiser informed them the plan would be canceled at the end of the year because it did not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. The couple would need to find another one. The cost would be around double what they pay now, but the benefits would be worse.

Well you organized for him and Obamacare, you voted for him twice, now you're reaping the benefits of what you've wanted. Surprise!

“From all of the sob stories I’ve heard and read, ours is the most extreme,” Lee told me in an email last week.

Remember, when you as a loyal Democrat have your insurance cancelled its extreme. When it happens to anyone else it's a faux outrage.

“We believe that the Act is good for health care, the economy, & the future of our nation. However, ACA options for middle income individuals ages 59 & 60 are unaffordable. We’re learning that many others are similarly affected. In that spirit we ask that you fix this, for all of our sakes,” he and Brothers wrote.

What fix? Perhaps a special dispensation for anyone that can prove they were a registered Democrat prior to the 2008 election and voted for Obama twice? Pelosi isn't going to "fix this". This is exactly what the law she pushed for was designed to do and you voted for the Democrats to do it - twice!, you poor useful idiots.

Expect more Democrats to go around with cognitive dissonance in the near future: Anyone complaining about their insurance being cancelled or their rates rising astronomically is clearly suffering from right-wing inspired faux outrage and partisanship and the wreckers are trying to disrupt the beauty that is Obamacare. Freep Editorial: Ignore 94 Million Gun Owners And Pass A Bill The Freep Didn't Read

The Detroit Free Press, in its editorial Ignore the gun lobby and start substantive debate on background checks calls on lawmakers to ignore the opposition to, and the clear defects in, the background check bill being proposed and push it ahead as progressives want it.

The Freep Editor clearly didn't read the bill, doesn't understand current firearms laws and basically doesn't have a clue what he/she is editorializing about.

Now, how do I know the Freep idiotor (sorry, editor - ok not really, if the ink stain fits and all that) didn't read it?

Well, if they had they would have seen that their prized background check bill is less about background checks and more about creating felons out of law abiding gun owners.

First we begin with their laughable statement that

There’s no defensible argument against background checks.

First there's the very defensible and principled argument that background checks if done wrong can lead to de-facto registration lists of gun owners and a path to confiscation.

Second, even if one ignores the registration angle and still considers that there's no defensible argument to background checks, there are lots of defensible arguments against this particular bill on background checks. Two different things indeed.

The bill is less about background checks on sales of firearms than the criminalization of very innocent transfers of firearms, including such temporary transfers such as letting someone else try your firearm at a range or leaving your house occupied by your roommate with your gun still in the home.

In other words, to make it simple for the Freep, the bill while claiming to be about background checks is far more encompassing and far worse than that, and it is deserving of defeat.

But not content to just level an emotionally-driven appeal for backgound checks, they try to bolster their argument by really going into la-la land:

And let’s face it, proving you can legally own a gun is no more burdensome than proving you can legally own a car, or buy a home. Given the lethality of firearms — and the cultural connection they have to violence and murder in American society — the hurdles to legal ownership are quite reasonable.

Really? I've never been fingerprinted to get a license to drive a vehicle, and never ever had a background check before buying a car at a dealer or even in a (gasp) private sale. Enlighten me about your car buying background-check experience, O Freep idiotor, and tell me all about the background check you had to go through before purchasing your vehicle? Take your time, I'll wait.

Next, I distinctly recall a lack of background checks when I purchased a home. Sure, there was a credit check for the mortgage but no criminal checks, and there was absolutely no background check, credit or otherwise before signing the purchase agreement. Tell me, O all-knowing idiotor, what criminal background check you had before buying your home legally? Again, I'll wait.
