Come On Now

It was sunny yesterday and with clean dry roads along with a slight snow melt.  This brought with it hope that this constant drudgery of snow shovelling and messed-up roads might come to an end.

They were predicting rain today.

Instead we got:

This is not rain.
We got snow, and a lot of it.  Even better than just a snow storm alone with it reducing visibility, we also got a nice layer of ice under the snow to really make driving a pleasure.  Lots of cars in ditches and slow moving traffic today.

Really truly sick of winter at this point.

Looks like February in the Michigan I grew up in (near you) lo, those many decades ago. We'd often hunt Easter eggs in the snow ...

Used to be you'd win the car-sinking-through-the-ice pool by picking late April/early May.

Aren't you glad we cured global warming?

Q: Yep, glad that global warming has heated everything up, not. I sure could use some global warming as this winter has just been bitter.

Now we have rain coming in top of the snow/ice/slush on the roads. Yuck.

This does feel colder than the typical Michigan winter, and with the record snowfall we've had it's been worse than average in that department by far.
