Yep, Bloomberg news (owned by known Trump-hater and failed Democrat Presidential candidate - surpise!) is hawking this stupidity, now also picked up by MSN.
The drug touted by the U.S. President Donald Trump as a possible line of treatment against the coronavirus comes with severe warnings in China and can kill in dosages as little as two grams.China, where the deadly pathogen first emerged in December, recommended the decades-old malaria drug chloroquine to treat infected patients in guidelines issued in February after seeing encouraging results in clinical trials. But within days, it cautioned doctors and health officials about the drug’s lethal side effects and rolled back its usage.
This came after local media reported that a Wuhan Institute of Virology study found that the drug can kill an adult just dosed at twice the daily amount recommended for treatment, which is one gram.
So taking 200% of the proper dosage a medicine can kill you? A medicine when taken in the proper dosage is an effective treatment but misuse can be potentially fatal? Hardly news. Heck, anything to make Trump look bad, right?

I take it , this is a rhetorical question... The People that absolutely hate Trump will believe this swill, the people that don't hate him will have further mistrust of the media, basically another nail in the 5th estate.

As to the MSM saying that an overdose of a drug could be dangerous? Gosh, thanks for telling me. I need to stop taking 4 Tylenol at a time every 2 hours, that should save my life!
(No, do not take Tylenol at more than the instructions say. Tylenol overdosing is a slow, painful and totally incurable way to die. Once you OD on Tylenol, you are dead man writhing in pain for 24-48 hours. Do not try this at home.
Unlike Advil, which one CAN abuse for a while before it starts doing bad things, acetaminophen is definitely one of those 'a little is good, a lot is bad' drugs.)
As if I have to tell anyone on this blog that, but since they've now found that NSAIDs are not to be used on the Wuhan flu, as they exacerbate it, tylenol can be used and is effective at treating symptoms.
