Combine Trump Derangement Syndrome, a push to keep Coronavirus panic going, and a lack of understanding of medicine and you get garbage like this, from Bloomberg no less:

Bloomberg: Virus Drug Touted by Trump, Musk Can Kill With Just Two Gram Dose

Yep, Bloomberg news (owned by known Trump-hater and failed Democrat Presidential candidate - surpise!) is hawking this stupidity, now also picked up by MSN.

The drug touted by the U.S. President Donald Trump as a possible line of treatment against the coronavirus comes with severe warnings in China and can kill in dosages as little as two grams.

China, where the deadly pathogen first emerged in December, recommended the decades-old malaria drug chloroquine to treat infected patients in guidelines issued in February after seeing encouraging results in clinical trials. But within days, it cautioned doctors and health officials about the drug’s lethal side effects and rolled back its usage.

This came after local media reported that a Wuhan Institute of Virology study found that the drug can kill an adult just dosed at twice the daily amount recommended for treatment, which is one gram.

So taking 200% of the proper dosage a medicine can kill you? A medicine when taken in the proper dosage is an effective treatment but misuse can be potentially fatal? Hardly news. Heck, anything to make Trump look bad, right?

Sheesh.

Endorsement For Bloomberg Or Endorsement For Hire?

One may indeed question the timing:

It's an amazing coincidence of timing, I'm sure - right after his wife is hired by the Bloomberg campaign, Wayne County Executive Warren Evans comes out and endorses Bloomberg for President.

Quid Pro Quo anyone?

Why does the endorsement matter? Wayne County, which contains Detroit, is the Democrat's main stronghold in Michigan, and Evan's endorsement matters.

On the upside, Bloomberg clearly has clearly established that he's got the corruption chops to run as a Democrat.

March For Our Lies

Over at Sultan Knish, there's a very thorough look at the forces behind the so called "student-led" March for Our Lives push: Who Runs March For Our lives?

Interestingly enough, checking the Delaware Corporations filings, you can see that within 7 days of the Parkland shooting, on February 21 the March for Our Lives Foundation, the March For Our Lives Action Fund (Per Sultan Knish donations are funneled to a company in California) were incorporated. The March for our Lives Lodging LLC soon followed on March 2 (you have to wonder what that one is for exactly - providing hotel space for activists perhaps?), and were all setup as Delaware companies.

If you think a bunch of teenagers set these up, that quickly, there's a lovely bridge in Brooklyn up for sale with a special deal just for you. On top of that there was a very, very quick 501(c)4 filing with the IRS to allow donations without disclosing the identifies of the donors. Kids did not set these up.

Professionals setup the Delaware corps and did the IRS elections, not your average teen that just learned to stop eating Tide Pods.

It's astroturfing from the Bloomberg and Friends through and through with the kids as a front.

If you think this was a sudden spur of the moment teenage-led attack on our rights you're wrong - it's a professionally planned, professionally propagandized, professionally organized, and professionally funded effort and needs to be answered accordingly.

Darn it, Now I Have To Agree With Michael Bloomberg On Something

After an almost perfect track record of opposing Bloomberg's idiocies on gun control and such, he finally goes and does something sensible that I can both agree with and even praise.

He ignored the FAA's ban on flights to Israel, which was ostensibly placed there after Hamas fired rockets towards the airport which were intercepted a mile away fro the airport and did not damage the airport.

Instead, he flew to Israel and showed the stupidity of the ban.

The FAA then quietly rescinded the ban, and flights are back to normal.

Any bets the ban was really an attempt by the US State Department and the Obama Administration to pressure Israel into a cease fire that would leave Hamas intact, in a position to claim a victory, and not have to admit defeat?

And another mentally ill person kills, this time in New York using a subway rather than a firearm.

The suspect in Thursday night's killing had been following the man closely on a Queens platform and mumbling to herself, witnesses told police. She got up from a nearby bench and shoved the man, who was standing with his back to her, as the train pulled into the platform. He was pinned under the train as it pulled to a stop, police said.

No calls for enhanced security according to the article, as this is a "rare event", that only last occurred 25 days ago.

Mayor Bloomberg did not call for banning subway trains, and apparently didn't call for more treatment or institutionalization of the mentally ill.

Asked about the episode at the station on Queens Boulevard in the Sunnyside neighborhood, Mayor Michael Bloomberg pointed today to legal and policy changes that led to the release of many mentally ill people from psychiatric institutions from the 1960s through 1990s.

"The courts or the law have changed and said, no, you can't do that unless they're a danger to society; our laws protect you. That's fair enough," Bloomberg said on The John Gambling Show with Mayor Mike on WOR-AM.

It's a pity Bloomberg holds quite the double standard and refuses to apply that same logic to 94 million law-abiding citizens and firearms possession.

Really Mayor Bloomberg, if you have nothing nice to say...

Bloomberg: Economy Woes Will Lead to 'Riots'

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg warned Friday there could be “riots” in the streets of U.S. cities if the economy doesn’t pick up soon.

The lack of jobs is making people increasingly desperate, Bloomberg said on his weekly WOR radio show.

"We have a lot of kids graduating college, can't find jobs," Bloomberg said, according to the New York Daily News. "That's what happened in Cairo. That's what happened in Madrid. You don't want those kinds of riots here."

Mr. Bloomberg, you, like many politicians, just don't know when to shut up.

You really don't want to be pre-making justifications and excuses for people to do something stupid like rioting, nor giving morons ideas that its a good time for a riot.

After all, a riot is an ugly thing:


Stick to your war on salt. While dumb and scientifically dubious, nobody is likely to trash your city over it.
