Our very special Governor Whitmer didn't have a word to condemn the riots.
Instead she tweeted:
To the good people of Michigan: we see you. We hear you. Your voice is what drives change now and always. All of us must be the relief. We must organize. We must speak truth to power. We will get through this together.
Yay, leftist pablum from the Gov in the face of riots.
Ahem, dear governor you are the "power" in this situation. Nice of you to see and hear them, but interesting how you choose to see them over the peaceful protestors who were against your arbitrary shutdowns.
So, she had not one word about the protesters and rioters violating social distancing causing her to have to extend the lock-down?
Not one word condemning the destruction of property caused by the rioters?
The best she could do is send out her Lt. Governor (who was selected because he's Black and is the spokesman for this, because he's Black, to say property damage is bad:
The Detroit News: Amid protests, Gilchrist says relief won't 'come from smashing windows'
Nope, these are her people.
After all, they gave her Buffs and called her Big Gretch: Gov. Gretchen Whitmer at last dons pair of Cartier 'Buffs' sunglasses in Detroit salute .

I make no excuse for my distain of the Empress of our fair state. And I also have said that at this age in my life, I am lucky enough to be able to have a few dollars to give to political causes. You can bet that I will be giving to who ever her main rival will be come the next gubernatorial election.
I can stand the fact that she is a Democrat, even though I am a constitutional conservative. I believe it takes people from all sides to make our country work for everyone. But when one side, no matter which one, uses their power to force illegal actions on the citizens, not subjects, of the state, they have overstepped their role, and must be pulled back.
I am not a crazy, gun nut just waiting for the chance to kill some politician, like some out there are. I am, however, ready to get her out politically.
If Whitless would pay more attention to taking care of the state's business, and less about her television appearances, she would most likely have a much better outcome. We had a prosecutor in Muskegon, Tony Tague, that we called TV Tony, due to his love for the television coverage that he could get. The Empress in Lansing is pretty much the same, only TV Tony had aspirations for governor, while our fair governor has desire for Vice President. She most likely will go the way of the Dodo, disappearing from the face of the earth.

pigpen51: Yes, as you can tell I'm less than impressed with our half-whit governor and how she's been so badly mishandling every situation she's found herself in.
