"I don't believe in guns. I don't believe in carrying guns," said Councilmember Marion Barry, a Democrat and a former four-term mayor. "I think the public ought to understand that all of us here are doing something we really don't want to do."
It's too bad that guns aren't shaped more like crack pipes. If that was the case, then Marion Barry would be on them like Marion Barry on crack. Ah wait a minute, that analogy is rather circular...
So crack-using politicians and felons don't like law-abiding citizens carrying guns. No real surprises there.
