Oh, What Media Bias?

Two headlines in the Detroit News today that just leave you shaking your head at their sheer inanity.

The First: Detroit police chief's stance on arming residents lands him in NRA's sights

Really? An article by the NRA praising (and justifiably so) the police chief's sensible yet highly and sadly atypical pro-self-defense stance is negatively presented as the chief "being in the NRA's sights". Generally, if you're in someone's sights, that's not a good thing, and you know the headline writer knows that.

Nice way to get an unwarranted dig at the NRA in there Detroit News.

The second even more inane headline: Armed visitor shoots, injures Detroit homeowner through front door

What!?! A pair of home invaders shooting through a door is now described by the media as an "armed visitor"? Drafting a headline to make a deliberate criminal act appear like a careless use of a firearm by a permitted visitor to the premises is pretty damn pathetic.

Apparently the MSM will use every opportunity, no matter how ridiculous and inappropriate to cast firearms and firearms owners, and the NRA in a bad light.

Are you really surprised? I'm sure as hell not!

Nope, sadly it's not surprising at all. The sheer blatancy of it is rather sad, but I'm not surprised.
