Your Morning Dose Of Holderesque Irony

Violence against youths must stop, Holder says

This from the guy in charge of the department and at the very least aware of the program funneling guns to Mexican drug gangs.

The Detroit News:

Calling the homicide rate among young black men unacceptable, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder on Sunday said his department is committing "unprecedented" resources to address violence to which young people are exposed.

Addressing more than 6,000 at the Detroit Branch NAACP's Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner at Cobo Center, Holder, the nation's first African-American attorney general, said an average of two young black men a week are killed in Detroit, according to one report. And 60 percent of young people are exposed to violence as victims or witnesses.

"This is shocking and all of this is unacceptable," Holder said.

Holder said that's why his office is directing resources to reduce childhood exposure to violence, raise awareness of its ramifications and study its causes.

Maybe his upcoming defense for Fast and Furious will be that it was an attempt to outsource the violence from Detroit to parts south...

You have a hardier stomach than I do - I went to read that article twice and just couldn't do it, because I just can't stand the hogwash constantly spewing from those in the current administration. Especially since it never addresses the problems, only imposes more and bigger government failures which cost more and do less than what is already in place.

These schmucks have always told us "You can't legislate morality", and yet they apparently think they can create morality with more government programs created out of thin air. Because at its root this is a moral problem, not a legal one.

You do have to admire how he can keep a straight face with many of his proclamations, not to mention how he can live with himself. Completely amoral help is hard to find.

He's got a future in Hollywood after this gig, assuming he's not imprisoned for the coverup, corruption and murder of Mexican nationals and US Border Patrol personnel killed for the benefit of Democrat talking points.
