Temple Israel Attack Aftermath

There's now videos online of the various police agencies clearing the synagogue and rescuing children from the school that were there at the time of the attack. 

Unlike the Cowards of Broward or the Unqualified of Uvalde, they went about aggressively clearing the building and rescuing everyone, and ensuring everyone was taken out of the burning building. While they knew the attacker was dead at that time, having been pinned by the security guards leading him to shoot himself,  the police didn't know if there were any other attackers still there and they searched and cleared the entire building. 

They did a great job, got everyone out at serious risk to themselves, with quite a number of them suffering from smoke inhalation as they put their lives on the line to save innocents,  and  make sure everyone was out.

In short, the responding police agencies did their jobs, and did them well.

The pictures of the interior show the extensive damage from the fire.

It's going to be quite some time before the synagogue can be used again and it needs to be extensively repaired and renovated. 

Active Shooting Attack At Temple Israel In West Bloomfield

So far details are sketchy, but police are warning that there has been an active shooting  and vehicle ramming attack at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.

Schools in the area went into lock-down and there is a heavy police response, as it should be.

 Waiting on more details, but its unlikely to be the Amish, just saying.

Update 2:36pm:  A fire was caused by the vehicle ramming attack, and the shooter has now apparently been effectively engaged and is now deceased. 

Update 8:46pm:  Attacker was stopped and killed by Armed security.

And, exactly as predicted it was not the Amish.

Attacker is Ayman Ghazali of Dearborn Heights and he's an expatriate from Lebanon, likely with ties to Hezbollah. 

FBI has described it as a targeted attack against the Jewish community. No kidding. 

The Imam Within

Yep, Imam Mohammad Elahi, from the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn is, true to form, busily praising the now deceased Iranian dictator Ayatollah Khamenei and condemning America and the US military as evil.

Imam Elahi is very much of the Mullah's regime.  

Prior to his travel to America to propogandize on behalf of the Islamic regime, he was appointed the head Imam to the Iranian navy- as the regular navy was insuficiently zealously Islamic - in other words he was the religious zampolit for the Mullahs. He's very much a Shia twelver true believer and believes and backs the Islamic theocracy in Iran, and propagandizes on the regime's behalf here.

He's also rather popular among Democrats seeking the Islamic vote. Is he also acting as a conduit or connection between Democrat pols and the Islamic regime?  Who knows?

So, the interesting question is: Why is a known member of the Iranian Mullah's regime and propagandist for same free to unrestrictedly spread this hostile foreign regime's propaganda in America and proselytize on its behalf and their apocalyptic fanatical religion while we are in a state of open hostilities with said regime?

Well, That Got Walked Back Quicky

The push-back that resulted from the announcement that they would be the first police department with Arabic patches has them not just reconsidering but claiming it the whole thing was just an "internal discussion".

The update makes them the first police department in the United States with Arabic on their patches.

Arabs have a tradition of cranking off rounds into the air to celebrate things. 

They combine this with a very Insha'Allah attitude as to where the rounds may end up.

This tradition has serious issues when it meets in modern society, especially when done from a vehicle, on a highway.

A wedding celebration shifted from festive to dangerous when shots were fired from a purple Lamborghini Huracán on the evening of Sunday, June 1.

The celebration involved a procession of honking vehicles that stretched from Canton to Dearborn.

Dashcam footage captured the moment someone fired a handgun out the passenger-side window of the luxury sports car near Ford and Evergreen roads, prompting an investigation by Dearborn police.

Officers tracked the festivities to a banquet hall in Dearborn Heights, according to Dearborn police. The rented Lamborghini was impounded, and an anonymous tip later led to the arrest of a person of interest now facing a charge of reckless discharge of a firearm.

No matter how happy you are that someone tied the knot, you don't drive down a highway cranking off rounds into the air, flashy car or no.  The article has a heckuva nice picture of the shooter in the Lambo cranking off some rounds.

You're responsible for every round that leaves your firearm. It's not just unacceptable to hoof rounds into the air in traffic (or just about anywhere else for that matter), it is irresponsible and indeed criminal to do so.  So, don't.

No, You Can't Start Fires In A Crowded Theater

Our stupid criminal of the day, Nicholas Glenn Chelar, managed to get himself charged with two well-deserved felonies for yes, setting fires in a crowded theater. The Freep fails to state what the movie was but in any case, the Stupid is extremely strong with that one.

You should also note that this is one of the few times that you can shout "Fire" in a crowded theater without any penalty.

Don't Bring A Knife To A Gunfight

In what may likely be determined to be a "Suicide-by-Cop" scenario, a fellow decided to pull a large knife and charge a court security guard at the Dearborn Heights District Court.

As a result, he was quite properly shot multiple times.

Pulling a knife and charging at an armed individual is not going to end well. Happily, the guard was not injured nor were any innocents harmed.
