Two-Tier DUI Justice In Arlington Virginia

If you're an American in Arlington Virginia, expect to get the full-on punishment and record for driving under the influence, which after all you should because you should not be drunk driving.

But, If you're an illegal under DACA driving under the influence, expect to get a lesser punishment and more favorable treatment to protect you from deportation.

The Post Millenial: DACA recipients charged with DUIs get special treatment from Arlington Commonwealth's Attorney to shield them from immigration law

 It has been revealed that the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the County of Arlington in Virginia testified over the summer that her office has a DUI policy that pertains only to DACA recipients. Commonwealth’s Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti had been subjected to a closed-door deposition in July, and the transcript for the hearing was released on Monday.

That gets the DUI off their record - which gives them a nice privilege that Americans do not get. 

 

The other "feature" of such a program is if they get caught a second time its still a first conviction, and not a DUI second conviction, which typically has a higher punishment than being caught only once - assumign they don;t dicvert it yet again.

 

Got to wonder how many other blue counties have these kind of special programs that put illegals ahead of Americans and give them ore favorable status.

The Democrats' Cognitive Dissonance On Reparations

Democrats in Congress and elsewhere demanding reparations for slavery, to be paid from people who never owned slaves, indeed whose parents never owned slaves, and in almost al cases whose granparents never owned slaves, to be paid to people who were never slaves because history.

Nevermind the reparations would go, as reported by Sultan Knish to millionaires who aren't exactly in need of "reparations", the rationale for such is incredibly eak but makes a great campaign talking point to get some votes in exchange for the promise of other people's money .

Yet, these very same progressives in Congress and elsewhere argue the DACA kids should not be blamed neither for themselves being here illegally, nor should they be blamed for their parents immediate illegal actions in bringing them here illegally. Verily they should not be blamed nor accountable for their own acts and indeed should be awarded citizenship for illegally crossing the border, but for reparations, everyone else should be held collectively responsible for the acts of others long ago.

The cognitive dissonance is most impressive.

Disney DACA Protesters Miss An Opportunity

So some DACA dreamers decided to blockade Disneyland yesterday, accomplishing little more than annoying those trying to get in.

Los Angeles Times: DACA recipients temporarily block Disneyland entrance as an act of civil disobedience.

Rather ironic on two counts:

First, they're stopping someone from entering, sort of demonstrating the value of border security and restictive immigration, if you will.

Second, why the heck did they stop outside the entrance? As people with experience going through borders without permission, I would have expected them to hop on in and become undocumented guests to the theme park and enjoy the delights of Disneyland gratis on a deferred admission plan . . .
