Supernatural: Rickey Gervais Offers Actually Funny Stand-Up Comedy

It's on Netflix and well worth watching,

Gervais pulls no punches and goes after everybody in his stand up act - especially the current Woke cancel culture.

He dares say things on stage that everyone knows is true, but such truths would get many other people cancelled outright. Throughout, he says it in a very funny manner full of wit, irony, and sarcasm.

In short, if you aren't offended by at least something in the show, you likely weren't paying attention and better go back and watch it again, as pretty much everyone takes a hit, but it's still funny.

If you were horribly offended by any of it however, laugh it off and grow up already.

The Woke are going to be massively offended within the first few minutes of the show and will likely be frothing at the mouth or running for a safe space before it is thirty minutes in. The Woke will then be found weeping in a fetal position a few minutes thereafter under his withering razor-sharp wit.

Damn funny show, so go watch it.   We can use some comedy right now.

A Little Less Cordial Than He Was Used To

Ah, the gentle art of diplomacy.

The good ol' days of polite ambassadors resolving disputes in a manner filled with decorum, formalities. and courtesy.

Or, well,  not so much.

Peter Capaldi's dramatic live reading of the Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks to the Turkish Sultan illustrates how diplomatic communication can be at times a tad less polite, and it is a must watch - before you read the letter at the Wiki link.

The Cossacks had defeated the Ottomans in a battle, and the Sultan then sent them a letter demanding their surrender, their fealty, and to stop any further attacks on the Ottomans.

Their reply has survived through the centuries as a lovely example of how to diplomatically and at length say "Oh, Hell, No".

At Last, Legit Letterkenny Lands In The USA

Finally Americans can now legally watch full episodes of Letterkenny - one of Canada's finest comedy shows.

Due to copyright laws and other complications, you can't watch it online and no US legitimate online source has it available for online viewing.

The solution, finally, is the show has been released on DVD, which is now available to US buyers.

So I bought Season One and binge watched the show and then listed it up on Ebay in case others want the experience. Season 2 is now on order.

You can also order them new on Amazon.

Both Season 1 and Season 2 is available.

Rather rough earthy humor, but darn good fun.

Darn funny stuff, eh?

That Was A Lot Of Laughs

Just got back from tonight's date night.

Tash and I went out to Ann Arbor to catch Ron White live on his 2018 tour.

To say he was hilarious would be an understatement.

Certainly it is a show for mature audiences only, with a rather crude humor style with f-bombs and adult situations brought up throughout, but damn, it was hilarious.

I haven't laughed that hard non-stop for a long time.

Heckuva good show, all new material, very cool to see him live, and the show rocked.

I certainly needed the laughs and got 'em. If you get a chance to catch the show, it's well worth it.

The Very Model Of A Modern Major British Military Comedy

There's a new and quite funny British comedy out there - Bluestone 42.

Set in Afghanistan during Operation Herrick, it features the travails and antics of a British Bomb disposal detachment.

Not yet available on DVD in the US, you can catch the whole first season on YouTube, and apparently Season 2 is being produced currently.
