Woe Canada!

It's bad enough that Canada lost both Women's and Men's Olympic hockey to the USA.

But Canadians woke up to read in the Globe and Mail that their entire  country's economy has dropped below that of .  .  .  Alabama.

You know, Alabama, a place Canadians with insecurity complexes as to their place in the world looked down their noses at as backward, uncultured, and everything that was not as "good"and enlightened as Canada.

The Globe and Mail: Out of nowhere, Canada became poorer than Alabama. How is that possible?

The wakeup call was so ugly the Globe and Mail even had to change the headline on their website, even as the http: remains the same, to soften the blow.

It now reads: How Canada became poorer than Alabama

Note that the Globe and Mail is to Canada what The New York Times is to the US - the newspaper written for, and read by the country's bien pensant elites.

For them to have to report on this ugly truth had to be rather uncomfortable.

11 years of Liberal one-party rule, corruption, and socialistic economic decision-making will do that for you.

But keep those elbows up Canada!  You're doing just great.
