Well, That Got Walked Back Quicky

Looks like Dearborn Heights isn't rolling out the Arabic police patches after all.

The Detroit News: Dearborn Heights walks back post about police patch with Arabic writing

The push-back that resulted from the announcement that they would be the first police department with Arabic patches has them not just reconsidering but claiming it the whole thing was just an "internal discussion".

Sure it was.

I still will avoid Dearborn....................

Dearborn is now officially a colony. And, like Matthew, not a place I need to visit. Even if it was an 'internal discussion' it would have happened if people hadn't found out before the rollout.

Matthew W and Midwest Chick: Dearborn Heights is a separate town from Dearborn itself, but yep, both are rather Muslim heavy at this point and generally best avoided except for the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.

I actually expect Hamtramckistan to do a patch like this shortly given their Yemeni and Muslim majority city counsel and corruption therein. After all they already renamed some streets there for Palestine. We will see.

Thanks for the correction Aaron! The Henry Ford Museum might be worth braving the environs. I'll put Hamtramck on my no-go list for sure though.
