Will Haley Stevens Continue To Endorse Sayed Even After He Spurns Her?

Haley Stevens, beaten by Abdul El Sayed in the Democratic primary, appeared ready to bend the knee and endorse the rtarther controversial candidate for Senate.

Then both Cenk Uyger's anti-Semitic ad in support of Sayed and the campaign's own ad with Tucker Carlson came out.

Stevens then requested Sayed to disavow the advertisements.

Cold have been a perfectly staged "Sister Soulja" moment, even with one of the ads coming from his campaign and the other from a  close surrogate of his campaign. It would lull those who have solid and valid concerns about Abdul El Sayed and give some on-the-fence Democrats concerned with his Muslim Brotherhood ties and his hanging out with Anti-Americans and Anti-Semites an excuse to vote for him.

It was not to be.

Abdul El Sayed, in response to the request in a not so polite manner declined to do so and basically told her to go jump in a lake.

“I therefore expect him to apologize for those statements as well,” Stevens said. “Abdul promises to get money out of politics. He can begin by getting Israel out of his explanation for everything Michigan cannot afford.”

El-Sayed is not affiliated with the group that produced the ad, Rebellion PAC, and his campaign distanced itself from the ad in statements to The New York Times earlier this week.

Stevens also called on El-Sayed to take down one of his own ads that featured right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson “out of the same respect for Michigan’s Black community.”

El-Sayed, a vocal critic of Israel, shot back Friday, saying in a statement that Stevens, a strong supporter of Israel, “seems intent on relitigating a primary that ended three months ago” and that his campaign’s focus was on affordability and healthcare.

If he's so focused on "affordability and healthcare", why the rush of anti-Semitic ads then, bucko?

Will Stevens still show up onstage Sunday to kow-tow and rally for El Sayed after getting the back of his hand?  Will the Democratic Party force a farcical show of unity over common sense?
