According to past reports, Linen, a Bronx native who was once signed to Def Jam, was convicted of two felony robberies in the late 1990s.In 1999, a Bronx jury is said to have found him guilty in two armed robberies of taxi drivers, per the New York Daily News.
Well, I guess an armed robber would know all about public safety and be all for Mamdani's "gun violence" initiatives.
Who's next on Mamdani's appointment list?
Maybe he'll appoint Bonnie Blue for the NYC Health Department next.
After all, she knows all about the risks of close contact with multiple people, communicable diseases, and the transfer of bodily fluids. but she may get beat out by Typhoid Mary.

I have to admit that I am in some ways having a hard time understanding just why people would vote to put a person into a position of leadership when that person states outright that they want to bring about communism when the facts are obvious that communism causes nothing other than worse conditions for those least able to survive such a system.
Wherever communism has been installed nothing but death and bad times for the poorest have followed. You no doubt know the many examples and so there is no need for me to list them.
I am a conservative and yet I could never imagine wanting to have someone so far to the right that they make those like white supremacists look like amateurs. Because I know exactly what would happen if we ever installed an extremist from the far right into positions of power.
It is plain to see that the left has shown themselves to have the patience of Job, when it comes to making big government something worthwhile instead of something that our founders feared almost as much as the thought of remaining under the thumb of a King somewhere across the sea.
Obamacare is just one perfect example of this. The Democrats passed this badly thought up plan knowing that it would slam them politically come the next election. But they passed it nonetheless, being patient enough to understand that any government program, no matter how horrific, once begun is like Excalibur, never to move again. The people who get the "goodies" are too glad to have them, knowing that if the Republicans tried to get rid of it when the come into power wouldn't dare to cancel the program. And eventually the Democrats would once again come into power.
I am fairly certain that Mamdani will end up being even worse that the predictions made by thinking people. But like everything else, once the people get someone so blatantly far left, they will be more than happy to elect a person slightly more to the center, who is the one that the Democrat politicians actually want. And the people will rejoice having gotten rid of someone so bad. And they will be forever glad that they have someone that still is bad for them but since this person won't be Mamdani, they will gladly tolerate the heavy hand of power on their necks.
PigPen51: Because communism/socialism is the Axe Body Spray of ideologies. It promises paradise to its naive and deluded believers, but ultimately delivers far less than that and more often wrack and ruin.
Right after that ruin, the true believers who up until then were extolling how socialist it was proclaim it wasn't "real socialism" and move on to pushing socialism yet again.
