Michigan Democrats Against Securing Elections

Compare and Contrast:

The Detroit News: Proposal requiring proof of citizenship to vote falls short votes in Michigan House

and

NPR: Michigan election review finds 16 non-citizens likely voted in November 2024 presidential election

We've gone from Democrats in the state saying:  No non-citizens are voting in our elections, our elections are totes secure;

to Democrats now saying, well, at least one non-citizen voted in the 2024 election, and his ballot counted, but it's not a real problem;

to Democrats now saying at least 16 non-citizens voted in the 2024 election but it's still super rare and just fine;

One can expect Democrats to start saying it is just fine and dandy that non-citizens are voting any day now.

Given that you can vote in  Michigan with no ID at all, using an affidavit claiming you're a citizen,  and you can vote with just a student id card - which does not establish citizenship in any way, it's a rather clear and unnecessary vulnerability. Combine it with motor voter registration, and its an open door for non-citizens to vote in this state, and other shenanigans.

But, Michigan Democrats won't close the loophole. Instead, they consistently vote against measures to prevent that happening.

Funny, that.

Trump and America Win

Not only in the electoral college, but likely also winning the popular vote, President Trump had a very very convincing win yesterday, too big to rig as it were.

We still wait for my Democrat-run State of Michigan to get its act together and actually administer an election in a timely manner.  And also as part of that potentially more fraud out of Democrat-run Wayne County to try and tip the balance in the Senate race between Rogers and Slotkin, but that will not affect the overall outcome of a Republican victory.

I certainly wish President Trump and the country success.

I hope that he has learned the lessons of his first term, including not to keep people in government offices that are actively working against him and stymieing his policies. I hope that he leads the country with wisdom and good judgment, and makes our nation  preeminent among the nations of the world and an example to all.

The Republicans in Michigan also wrested control of the state house from Democrat hands, ending the Democrat domination of all three branches of state government, which is a good thing.

It is hoped that the Democrats will learn some lessons from their loss.  The lessons include their error in the selection of a terrible and inarticulate candidate appointed more for her filling DEI check-boxes than for her actual ability; and their push to tilt the Overton window so far left that they left the American Middle, and even some of the American Left far behind among many other mistakes on their part.

And to my Democrat-supporting readers, as few of you as there may be: We survived 4 years of Biden-Harris, you'll make it through 4 more years of President Trump.

The Rather Delicate Democrat Coalition

Is showing some further signs of fraying:

USA Today:  Devices used in Oregon, Washington ballot box fires had 'Free Gaza' messages, reports say

Considering the Democrats pandering to the Islamists, arson attacks on ballot drop boxes in Democrat strongholds in Oregon and Washington is rather ungrateful action on the part of the Hamas-niks.

Pity, that.

Do tell me again how ballot drop boxes are so secure secure, right?

Civic Duty Done

Went and voted early today.

It was a rather large line as the early voting location is handling everyone form West Bloomfield, Sylvan Lake, and Keego Harbor.

Waited in line just a bit over a half hour but it moved along rather reasonably.

Did get in after being in line just before closing which was good.

Voted in split ticket fashion after researching the candidates ahead of time.

Quite a turnout so far in the area.

So if you haven't voted yet, get informed and research the candidates, know who you are voting for and why -- and go do it.

Is Their Election Slogan It takes A Criminal To Catch A Criminal?

The Detroit News: Oakland, Wayne Co. sheriff challengers hope voters will overlook their criminal records

When all you have to run on is your criminal record, you might as well run on that:

Amrit Kohli said he's qualified to be the Oakland County sheriff because he's been an Oakland County Jail inmate and knows what needs to be fixed.

Wayne County sheriff candidate T. P. Nykoriak said his federal conviction for stealing from a Detroit church should not prevent him from being elected as the county's top law enforcement official.

Ok then.

Kohli is a very progressive  Democrat who is on the Democrat ticket running in Oakland County against the highly popular and effective Republican Sheriff Bouchard.

"I want to get elected, so I can disrupt the policing of the Sheriff's Office and try to make a mark of what policing can do when they're not about guns and oppression," said Kohli, who was convicted of drunk driving in 2003 and malicious destruction of property in 2004. "Police are the apparatus of oppression and have committed genocide, in my opinion."
Yeah, he's the perfect progressive Democrat defund-the-police-type to run for the position with no law enforcement experience aside from being on the criminal end of it. He is also, of course, given his everything-I-don't-like-is- genocide,  pro "ceasefire" for Gaza.

This is part of why straight-ticket voting is dumb - he'll likely get votes from Democrats in the County who do a straight ticket and don't know any batter.

We'll note that while T. P. Nykoriak is nominally on the ballot as a Republican in Wayne County, he actually has a long history of running as a Democrat for the Sheriff slot, and other positions, and possibly changes party affiliation like others change their underwear.

Both should use a white circle on a red background as their campaign flags - They both have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

No, We Can't Trust Kamala

Got a mailer from Kamala t'other day.

Except no, you can't trust her.

Because at the same time she's sending this out, as well as some TV ads in this area claiming she is pro-Israel, she's saying something else to pro-Hamas types and to the population in Dearbornistan:

NBC News: Harris targets digital ads spotlighting her words about 'human suffering in Gaza'

We will also note that Harris said the following publicly when interrupted by a pro-Hamasnik claiming what is happening in Gaza is a "genocide".  She declared that what the protestor was saying was :"real":

New York Post:  Kamala Harris publicly agrees with protestor accusing Israel of genocide: ‘What he’s talking about, it’s real’

For the last time, and for the simpletons who swallow Hamas propaganda wholesale in between licking the windows on the short bus, what is happening in Gaza is not a genocide.

Let's use a picture to help get this across:

It is not a genocide when you attack your neighbor, massacre civilians, kidnap others, and then you start losing the war you started as you choose to fight in urban areas while hiding behind civilians in those area and those civillians get killed along with your combatants.

That Kamala would even say "it's real" shows she either is dumb enough to believe there is a genocide going on - contrary to reality- or she's willing to pander to idiots in order to get the Muslim vote to help her win Michigan and some other battleground states.

Given the demonstrated pro-Iranian and pro-Hamas bent of the Biden-Harris administration, and Kamala choosing to surround herself in office with pro-Hamas types, you absolutely cannot trust her when it comes to Israel, or much else for that matte.

Not An Assasination Attempt, Just A "Normal" Crazy Democrat

The Detroit News: Michigan man charged after claiming he had bomb, fleeing police outside Trump rally

A Sand Lake man was charged with a false threat of terrorism after claiming he had a bomb and speeding through a security checkpoint near President Donald Trump's rally Friday in Walker.

Steven Nauta faces four counts in Kent County: Making a false threat of terrorism; possession of bombs with unlawful intent; fleeing a police officer; and assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer.

He was stopped at the checkpoint outside Trumps rally on the west side of the state, and then threatened he had a bomb and tried to flee police before his arrest.  He apparently had multiple bags of fertilizer in the car and a device he claimed to be a bomb.

He was arrested and now faces multiple felony charges.

Trump Derangement Syndrome certainly makes people do stupid things, as does the regular and rhetorical encouragement of violence (dare we say stochastic terrorism?) against Trump.

Michigan SOS Jocelyn Benson Put Her Finger On The Scale, Gets Her Wrist Slapped

Michigan's Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a partisan Democrat, has been working hard to influence the election in Michigan in favor of the Democrats.

She tried to have Cornel West kept off the ballot, as that crazy proggy would draw a share of Black and hard progressive Democrat voters away from Que Mala Harris.

At the very same time, she tried to keep RFK Jr on the ballot, because he would likely draw off an element that would otherwise vote for Trump. Keeping him in play and West off would potentially swing the projected to be very close election here in favor of Harris.

She's now lost both attempts in court:

WDET: Cornel West is back on Michigan’s presidential ballot, judge rules

The Detroit News:  Michigan appeals court orders RFK Jr. removed from November ballot

Now, she is appealing both decisions to the Michigan Supreme Court. The Court's Democrat majority there may perhaps decide the issues on the basis of partisanship rather than law.  We shall see.

This is indeed the same Jocelyn Benson that has been previously had illegally attempted to ban carry at polling places, and had illegally ordered clerks during the 2020 election not to verify signatures on absentee ballots, again favoring Democrats and opening the doorway for shenanigans with unverified ballots being counted.

So, our Secretary of State is rather definitively partisan and has been using election laws and regulations in a rather partisan fashion.  Since she very much runs those who count the votes, expect further electoral shenanigans to favor the Democrats from the person who should be instead focusing on making sure this is a clean election.

Walz Wants To Decide What Is Hate Speech Or Disinformation

Tim Walz in 2022 stated: "There's no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech, and especially around our democracy," Walz

Actual Hate speech of course is unpleasant and often uncouth and untrue, but it often serves a useful signaling purpose as it reveals the character of the speaker to all.

However, statements are often labeled hate speech when they are not “hate speech” to instead chill it when the speech is adversarial to whoever is trying to silence the speaker. Indee, as Democrats like Walz tend to label anyone who doesn’t agree with them as Hitler or a fascist, it’s not hard to see them calling their opponents’ speech hate speech to block and ban it when it suits them.

So the problem is who decides what is considered hate speech?

As to "misinformation", the problem is Democrats have labeled as misinformation what was actually true, such as Hunter Biden’s laptop

Democrats have also labeled as true things that were misinformation such as the Steele Dossier.

In short, Walz’s statement would let the government (meaning fellow Demo) simply ban speech they don’t like if they can claim it is hate speech or misinformation to protect “our democracy”.

That kind of speech control and politically opportunistic discrimination is downright un-American and in fact is harmful to democracy.

Tim Who?

Well Kamala Harris (or TPTB behind her) has chosen Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, to be her VP candidate.

Not exactly a household name.

Minnesota is already a lock for the Democrats.

But, she needed a white guy for the ticket, and yes, race is very much a factor in Democrats choosing candidates.  Funny, that.

It would have made sense to nominate Josh Shapiro as she and the Dems could have used the appointment to win votes in Pennsylvania which is in play, and a critical state for either side to win.

But, she couldn't do that as both the Progressive Left and the Arab Democrats would have had a fit (and indeed they were throwing fits that he was even being considered) as he happens to be Jewish.

So much for racial harmony in the Democrat camp, eh?

1984 In 2024

It's interesting to watch the Media rewrite history in real-time to support their latest candidate for president. One problem in doing so with recent history is that people still remember the facts and often the old reporting that was rewritten still can be retrieved thanks to the Internet.

In an attempt to support their Party and refurbish appointed candidate Kamala Harris's image, elements in the media are literally rewriting their prior reports on her history.

Axios, for example, is now denying she was ever appointed as border czar in 2021, a job she didn't just fail at completely (visiting the border all of once and doing absolutely nothing) but failed so badly her appointment must now be rewritten from history.

Axios, after previously reporting at the time she that was appointed "Border Czar" now comes out and states she was never appointed as border czar, it didn't happen, and they were "incorrect" in their past reporting:

Eric Bolling: What Do You Mean 'Border Czar?': Axios Hit With Community Note After Contradicting Own Reporting on Kamala Harris

Many other Media talking heads are repeating the same revision to history, contradicting and denying what they themselves reported but a couple years ago.

GovTrack, also doing its part for Kamala, has now erased its prior record that showed her as having the most liberal voting record in the Senate in 2019. This removal just occurred in the last two weeks.

It will be interesting to see what else gets rewritten or "re-explained" by the media to try and erase the problematic parts of her record as she moves on to be the Democrat's selected candidate.

"History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.". ― George Orwell, 1984.

More Democrat Political Violence - Pro-Hamas Protesters Eat Their Own

So the Pro-Hamas, Pro-terrorist leftists decided to storm the capitol today to protest Netanyahu visiting.

Note: if you're burning the American Flag, you're one of the bad guys.

None dare call it an insurrection mind you.

The Detroit Free Press: Pro-Palestinian protestors try to force way into Rep. Dan Kildee's office

The Detroit News: Thousands descend on Washington to protest Israel ahead of Netanyahu's speech to Congress

We will note Kildee has been supportive of Hamas, being against sending Israel weapons to defend itself. So the protesters were going for an own-goal.

It is unlikely that Rep Kildee learned much from the experience.

Then again, neither have the terrorist-supporting protestors learned anything in all this time, still backing terrorists and still falsely claiming there is a genocide that is provably not occurring.

More Democrat Political Violence

The Guardian:  Michigan man kills himself after running over 80-year-old Trump supporter

A Michigan man suspected of using an all-terrain vehicle to run over an elderly man for supporting Donald Trump died by suicide as police closed in on him, according to authorities.

Police in Hancock – a city located in the state’s upper peninsula – said the man in question was under investigation for allegedly running over an 80-year-old man at about 5.45pm local time on Sunday.

The elderly man was described as a supporter of the former president who was posting a political sign in his yard, according to police. Police also said he displayed stickers and flags that were supportive of law enforcement. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition with serious injuries after the man on the ATV struck him, authorities said.

Investigators said they had identified a suspect in the case by Monday evening, and he had been linked to a total of three cases which were apparently “politically motivated”.

A little impulse control and handling disputes without violence would be nice.  On the upside, the scumbag spared taxpayers the cost of a trial by offing himself.

Dems Don't Have To Like It, But They Do Have To Get In Line

It looks like the party bosses have spoken and they're pushing hard for Kamala to be the candidate for the Dems for 2024.

Gov. Whitmer was quiet but soon got on board:  The Detroit Free Press: Whitmer stays quiet as Harris endorsements from other Democrats pour in within less than an hour of that being published, she had gotten the memo to endorse Kamala, and did so.

Lots of other Dems followed suit, likely trying to make her appointment as candidacy seem inevitable prior to the convention to prevent the party members from democratically voting on a replacement for Biden, to protect "Our Democracy", of course.

Meanwhile, Joe has yet to be seen in public.

Slow Joe Had To Go

So the sun sets on Joe Biden's candidacy in the race for 2024.

From "He's Fine, He Just Had a Bad Night" to being shown the door in  less than 30 days. Even as late as Friday they were swearing he was still in the race and the nominee.

So did he fall, or was he pushed?

The Biden White House was rather like the Kremlin with Kremlinologists being needed to track which faction was in power and setting policy behind the figurehead that was Joe Biden. This will be even more interesting as the jockeying for his replacement becomes more intense.

Interestingly, he did not immediately come out and endorse Kamala Harris in his resignation announcement.  Instead, that endorsement came later on Twitter. So probably a Kamala backer has control over the Twitter account for the moment. Or, alternatively she's being the sacrificial candidate (but with access to the money in the Biden-Harris campaign cookie jar) for what the Dems know will be a losing campaign in 2024.

It's going to be interesting to see who the Democrat party elite decides to run now that Joe has been shown the door.  Be sure to have popcorn at the ready for the Democrat convention.

The fun question that also needs to be asked is: If Joe Biden is acknowledged to no longer be fit and cannot handle running for reelection due to his age and infirmities, why the heck is he still staying on as President?

Gradually, Then Suddenly

Democrats denied for years claims that Biden had cognitive difficulties.

They were agog and aghast when the special counsel noted he shouldn't be prosecuted as he's an elderly man with a poor memory. Instead they publicly all claimed he was just fine: Democrats flood the Sunday shows to insist Biden's mind is just fine.

Then after the debate, when it was abundantly clear that after the Democrats and media covering for him and making excuses for years, it couldn't be hidden any more from the public.

The Democrats went from being in lock-step and insisting that he's fine, to now a majority of Democrats wanting him to drop out.

Now it veers on a full on preference cascade for the Democrats to replace him with someone else:  The Detroit News:  Nearly two-thirds of Democrats want Biden to withdraw, new AP-NORC poll finds

The list of Democrat politicians calling for him to step aside keeps getting longer as well

So how does Joe Biden get removed from being the Democrat nominee?  As is oft then case in these situations, gradually, then suddenly.

In A Win For The Environment, Trump Chooses J.D. Vance As VP

Not a bad choice at all,  perhaps not the best, but certainly a solid choice. But, in this election, the choice of the Republican VP matters rather little.

The fact that J.D. Vance will absolutely mop the floor with Kamala Harris in the VP debate makes it a fine pick and he will be entertaining to watch doing so, but let's face it, that's a rather low bar to get over.

Well, with Trump choosing Vance, it also shows a careful eye towards preserving the environment.

This is because prior campaign signs can be easily re-used to save resources:

That Excuse Just Won't Fly

The Detroit Free Press: President Biden blames overseas travel for disastrous debate: 'I nearly fell asleep on stage'

"I didn't have my best night," Biden told supporters. "I wasn't very smart. I decided to travel around the world a couple of times, going through I don't how many times zones.

"I didn't listen to my staff. And then I came back and I nearly fell asleep on stage," Biden said, prompting laughs from some of the donors. “It’s not an excuse but an explanation."

Except it is neither.

Biden spent 6 days at Camp David after his "travel around the world"  doing nothing but resting up and preparing for his debate performance.

The leader of the free world can't handle a debate (where he very well may have even been slipped the questions in advance) and is blaming his performance on being too tired due to travel that took place before 6 days of rest and relaxation.

If he can't function appropriately due to being too tired after six days of rest and preparation, how the heck is he capable of handling day-to-day matters, not to mention the crises of the office?

Democrat Racism In Detroit's 13th District

In Detroit, the 13th District reliably sends a Democrat off to Congress every time.  It's such a safe seat for Democrats that the Democrat primary determines everything, and there's no point for a Republican to run.

The horrible problem is that the 13th Federal District has the wrong race of Democrat in the seat right now.   Shri Thanendar, while a reliable Democrat suffers from a key deficiency - He's not Black.

The Detroit Free Pres:  Detroit learned all the wrong lessons from Shri Thanedar's 2022 win | Opinion

Yep, because Representative Thanendar is Indian and not Black, he's not viewed by the Black Democrats in the city as suitable to represent them.

Racism, much?

Representative Thanendar was elected because in the last primary the Black vote got split among seven Black candidates.  So, the Black powers-that-be in the city decided to be more clever this time and rally around one Black candidate this time to unseat Thanendar.

That decision has now backfired, to much amusement to all but the Black powers-that-be.

The current wailing among the Detroit Democrats is their one great Black hope, Adam Hollier, messed up and was removed from the ballot for hiring a company that screwed him with forged nominating signatures and he completely failed to verify the signatures before turning them in.

This is shades of the forgery tom-foolery that eliminated Craig and other Republicans from the ballot in the last election, which should have been a warning and a clue to the Hollier campaign to check their nominating petitions.

So, the great Black hope turned out to be a dope.

The Black Detroit Democrat Apparatchiks are real mad that yet again, the so far shown to be competent Representative Thanendar is most likely going to be re-elected in a walk, just because he's not Black.

Not because he's been anything other than a reliable Democrat member of the House, but simply just because he's not Black.

So now some Black Detroit Democrat Apparatchiks are calling to change the rules of the game by pushing to shift to ranked choice voting in the primary to try and ensure that a Black Democrat is a lock to be elected in the District in the future instead of putting all their eggs in one forged nominating signature list.

You really can't make this up, and it's rather hilarious to watch the wailing and gnashing of teeth occurring because Thanendar is going to be reelected - Just because he's not Black.

Well, Team Blue Really Wants To Go There

Democrats in Blue states are gallivanting around removing Trump from the ballot in Illinois, Colorado, and elsewhere on the specious grounds that he committed insurrection when he has never been charged nor convicted of such.

Thus is a rather dumb interpretation and application of the 14th Amendment for many reasons, and also shortsighted on the part of the Democrats in the Blue States involved short-sightedly thinking such would never happen to their candidate.

After all, following the same logic of the Blue States, Red States are free, if they so choose, to also take a novel application of 14th Amendment, Section 3 and disqualify Joe Biden from the ballot in their states.

After all, Section 3 states:

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
President Joe Biden indeed has demonstrably provided aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States:

$6 billion worth of aid and comfort to Iran, and even before that insanity, he also removed sanctions from Iran.  Iran, a country that is a sworn enemy of the United States, has committed acts of terrorism against Americans, and has directly and through surrogates attacked US military personnel.  This is the same country that annually has demonstrations where they shout "Death to America" - and mean it.

Joe Biden had also removed the Houthis from the terrorism list, again providing aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States.  These are the same Houthis whose slogan isGod Is the Greatest, Death to America, Death to Israel, A Curse Upon the Jews, Victory to Islam.

Verily, it will be much easier to prove that President Biden has given aid or comfort to the enemies of the United States than proving that former President Trump had engaged in insurrection. If the Red States apply the same standards and "logic" that  the Blue states have applied, removing Biden form their ballots will be a cinch.

As such, it wouldn't take much for Red States to decided turnabout is fair play and start removing Biden on the grounds he has violated the 14th Amendment.

This of course would be stupid

I really can't recommend such a course of behavior, but since Democrats insist on playing stupid games, game theory dictates that turnabout is indeed fair play.  Should the Supreme Court not decide that the removal of Trump from the ballot is incorrect, having the Red States take this action may be the only way to get them to knock it off.

Of course, this can have some bad unintended consequences, but the Blue States are already indulging in this bad behavior.

In short, should the Supreme Court not have the Blues knock this gamesmanship off, the Blue states should show some restraint and knock it off themselves before the Red states decide that two can play that game.
