Nessel Bends The Knee To The Democrat Party

For the Democrat stalwarts, it is Party over principle, every time.

And they are calling on Democrat  Jews to be chickens for KFC.

The Democrats have their Kapos publicly urging Democrat Jews to put aside their very valid concerns over El Sayed including his support for Iran and even more locally, excusing and rationalizing of the attack on Temple Israel, so long as the Dems get to keep a Senate seat.

MSN/Detroit News: Nessel urges Jewish Dems to place world's needs above self-interest

Attorney General Dana Nessel suggested in a private speech to Jewish Democrats on Aug. 30 that they should sacrifice their own safety and comfort in exchange for what she described as "the opportunity to save the rest of humanity."

Nessel, Michigan's top law enforcement officer who is also Jewish, was honored by the Michigan Democratic Party's Jewish Caucus during a celebration in Birmingham. Members of the media were barred from the gathering.

In other words, bend the knee, vote for El-Sayed because he has a (D) after his name even though he is without a doubt extremely contrary to Jewish and indeed American interests.

This is the same Attorney General Dana Nessel who announced she was not going to the Michigan Democrat Convention due to threats against her for being Jewish due to the progressive wing of the party going full on anti-Israel and anti-Semitic in their fervor for Abdul El-Sayed.

We will also note that Ms. Nessel is a lesbian -- not that there is anything wrong with that -- yet she did not call on lesbians to sacrifice their safety and comfort to the Democrat Islamic wing of the party, the same one that has banned pride flags from flying in Hamtramck.  Funny that.

At this point Vote Blue No Matter Who has now nominated a man with a Nazi tattoo (only removed by the Dems from the race when all the polls showed he would lose); an Islamic terrorist supporter, Adam Hamawy who testified and provided material support for the World Trade Center bomber; and of course, Mamdami in NYC.

Sorry Abdul, It Just Doesn't Work That Way

Abdul El-Sayed is drawing some flack due to his campaign buddy Hassan Piker threatening people on his behalf, in addition to Hassan's love of communism; hatred and threats against Jews and Israel; being fine with rape as long as it is for the cause,; advocating killing capitalists (while he himself is a millionaire nepo-baby); hating white people; and saying America deserved 9/11.

“But I want to be crystal clear, nobody speaks for this campaign besides me and my campaign spokespeople,” he added. 

Nice try Abdul, but you were constantly on the same podium and have been arm-in-arm with Hassan Piker throughout your campaign.  Hassan Piker has campaigned and he continues to campaign on your behalf and you certainly haven't told him to stop.

As indeed are others with similar extremist and anti-American views you hang around with on the regular.  

Hassan Piker is a spokesperson for your campaign. He's a spokesperson for you to the Islamists and radical leftists and progressives out there, but he is turning off the moderate Democrats whose votes you need. Can't have that, so now you're going to play the age-old game of "Hassan doesn't speak for me " even as he continues to speak for you to your more radical and hard-core supporters.

This is the typical game of saying one thing on a subject to a credulous western  audience, and saying the more radical and contradictory thing on the same subject to  core supporters - or having alter-egos like Hassan Piker say them for you, and it isn't going to work for most people. 

Except, of course,  it will work and provide cover for the credulous fools and kapos looking for an excuse to justify supporting you, more's the pity.

Chickens For KFC

Just like Chickens voting for KFC, Jewish Democrats voting for Abdul El-Sayed have yet to realize that denial is not just a river in Africa. 

From the "Vote Blue No Matter Who" types (Query does that include Hitler?  it did include a man with a Nazi tattoo until the Dems figured out he wasn't going to win so....); to the "He's just anti-Israel not anti-Jewish types"; to  the "He doesn't really mean it, and hey Medicare for all";  to the "Better an Islamist than a Republican" types;  the Jews that vote for El-Sayed and his ilk are badly deluded at best or complicit at worst.

I voted for Abdul El-Sayed. I wanted him to win. And when he did, I was thrilled. I was relieved. And almost immediately, I was scared. Because while I was celebrating, I was hearing from Jewish friends, family and community members who felt angry and betrayed. Many said they would never vote for him in November.

Yep, unlike Nikki some Jewish Democrats actually read his statements, viewed his actions, and who he associates with, and used their brains and will not vote blue no matter who.  That this is what Nikki is scared of, rathert than the clear threat posed by El-Sayed and his ilk is just precious.

But worry not, her op-ed gets worse. 

I watched criticism of the Israeli government repeatedly become conflated with hatred of Jewish people. I also watched legitimate fears about antisemitism become tangled in political rhetoric and, at times, dismissed altogether. As a result, many Jewish Democratic Michiganders are entering the general election feeling as though they cannot even consider supporting El-Sayed.

Those people doing the conflation are El-Sayed and his key supporters and main voting block, yet you voted for him Nikki.

It also requires an honest conversation about El-Sayed’s response to the attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield.

To be clear, El-Sayed unequivocally condemned the attack.

Except he did not, Nikki, even as you yourself note: 

He called it heinous and evil, said antisemitism has no place in our communities and affirmed the right of Jewish people to worship safely. He repeatedly said there was no justification for what happened. But he also repeated the phrase “hurt people hurt people” and drew a direct line from the deaths of the attacker’s relatives in Lebanon to his decision to target a synagogue.

He condemned and did not condemn it at the same time and blamed the "cycle of violence" for it and his "hurt people hurt people" bit to excuse it. 

Sayed also willfully held back on discussing the Iranian dictator's death due to it upsetting his Islamic constituents and supporters - which would be a concern about him to most people, but you gloss right over that.   

Anyhoo, Nikki keeps on trying to  drum up support for El-Sayed and figures out the solution: he should dump Hasan Piker with his America deserved 9/11 and his multiple antisemitic and anti-American rants, that'll do it:

There is one more barrier El-Sayed must address: His continued association with Hasan Piker.

I do not believe being seen with someone means automatically endorsing everything that person has ever said. But many Jewish friends I have spoken with felt El-Sayed’s response to their concerns about campaigning with Piker was insufficient. Then they watched Piker livestream from El-Sayed’s election-night party.

At some point, continued association becomes a choice. If El-Sayed wants to earn the trust of Jewish voters who are not with him yet, he must be willing to hear why that relationship concerns them, and show them where his own boundaries are.

Good luck with that one there, kapo. 

Abdul campaigned alongside Piker, he agrees with Piker, he's not going to give him up because he and Piker are in lockstep.  He needs Piker, no matter how much you'd like to delude yourself otherwise. He's not just seen with Piker, Piker campaigns for him and he's on the stage holding hands with Piker because they believe in the same things:  Hating America, Hating Jews, and Hating Capitalism even as they both get rich from it.

Thank goodness some Democrat Jews are finally realizing  the Progressive Islamic Nazi-fest the Democratic Party has become.  Meanwhile people like Nikki still don't get it - or even worse they do and still choose to give up their birthright for a progressive mess of pottage.

Of Course She Didn't Vote For It

Every Michigan representative, Republican and Democrat alike voted on a bill to fight organized retail crime and cargo theft and impose more severe sentences on the criminals performing those acts.

All except one that is.

You guessed it, the rep who voted against it was, of course, Rep Rashida Tlaib (D-Dearbornistan).

All but one member of Michigan's U.S. House delegation — progressive Detroit Democrat Rashida Tlaib — supported the CORCA bill when it passed the chamber in May.

"I voted against this bill because it would vastly expand the power of Trump’s Department of Homeland Security to surveil and criminalize our communities," Tlaib said in a statement.

Too many of her constituents are criminals and she clearly doesn't like the idea of cracking down on international criminals that she supports, and not leaving these large scale thefts in the hands of soft-on-crime local prosecutors that slap them on the wrist as they steal billions from law-abiding Americans.

The New York Times Whistles Past The Trend Of Leftist Political Violence

Today, in The New York Times The Morning Newsletter, the paper decided to discuss the attempted assassination of President Trump yesterday with this lovely example of willfully avoiding a discussion of Leftist violence.

The guests at the dinner included many whose lives had previously been affected by gun violence, including Trump, Erika Kirk and Representative Steve Scalise, who was shot at a congressional baseball game practice in 2017.

The New York Times blithely ignores the common theme in all of these acts of "gun violence" - the perpetrator in question was a leftist in each and every one:

President Trump's current attempted assassin was a progressive leftist from California, spouting Democrat talking points. The prior one in September 2024  in Florida was also from a  registered Democrat. The one before that in July 2024 in Butler, PA was yet another progressive.

Erika Kirk - Charlie Kirk, her husband, was, you guessed it, killed by a leftist.

Steve Scalise - shot by a Bernie Bro. 

Funny how the New York Times fails to both notice and not comment on this trend, but just waves it away with the canard of  "gun violence".

The owner of  Minocqua Brewing Company is a Democrat operative and former state-level candidate and runs a Democrat state-level PAC.

The Democrats have continued their tantrum and refusal to accept democratic norms since losing the election, and have continued to advocate for violence against their opponents ever since.

A Convenient Scandal: Swalwell, The Media, and the California Democratic Shakeout

Democrats and the mainstream media have a rather incestuous relationship, where they benefit and cover for each other.

Now that the Democrats need to whittle down the field of potential Democrats running for governor of California due to the jungle primary system that they created, Eric Swalwell has to go.

You see, California Democrats instituted a jungle primary where the top vote-getters, regardless of party end up on the ballot.

The idea behind the jungle primary was to eliminate Republicans as candidates for office.

However, with such a large field of Democrats running this time, with none of them willing to conceded, this has created the potential for the unthinkable - the two Republican candidates may end up being the sole survivors of the primary with the larges share of the primary vote.

The Democrats can't have that. Would seriously upset the one-party apple cart.

So, the Democratic field of candidates must be reduced and if they won't leave, willingly, conditions must be arranged to make them drop out.

So, and funny how that happens, credible allegations of serious sexual assaults that happened over many years, on the part of Swalwell have suddenly and most conveniently surfaced now. 

It knocks him out and serves as a message pour encourager les autres  that if there's dirt on them and they're not a star of the party, they may want to step back.

So why reference the media?  Because the Democrats and the mainstream media both knew about his activities, and both covered it up so long as he was a party member in good standing:

 

Yep, this reporter is stating Swalwell's behavior towards women was known - since 2013 - yet neither he, nor other reporters, nor the Party, breathed not a word of it or gave it any coverage til now when it is politically convenient to do so. 

Democrats talk about a War on Women and they sure are fighting the War on Women all right - on the women. 

The Dems are cosplaying with Handmaid's outfits while tolerating sexual harassment and outright assaults on women so long as the perpetrators have  (D) behind their name, and the media both covers it --and covers it up -- for them.

Who Controls The Past Controls The Future

So a former patron saint of the Democrats, Cesar Chavez, a historic labor and union leader feted and revered by the Democrat, with statues and streets named in his honor, is getting the Damnatio Memoriae treatment. This is complete with statues of him being covered up pending removal from their plinths.

Why now? After all, the allegations of his sexual improprieties date from the 1960s and 1970s, but as a famous Democrat and his usefulness of his legacy to the Democrats for both the Hispanic and union votes, he's gotten a complete pass. 

Until now.

A couple possible reasons:

 1. His very well-known stance against illegal immigration and its depressing legal workers wages is becoming very politically inconvenient at this time. Chavez was not just against illegal immigration, he was vociferously against it, even ordering the beating of the heck out of illegals who moved in on his farm workers union labor and reduced their wages - even forming his own "Border Patrol" to turn them back- and not with gentle processing, either.

This is just Democrats putting illegal immigrants above Americans as usual, and rewriting history to claim they have always supported the "undocumented".  

2. One of his descendants, Julie Chavez Rodriguez is one of the éminence grise, the powers behind the throne, of the Democrat party.  Her credentials include being a former campaign manager for Kamala Harris's 2024 presidential campaign, right after being a campaign manager in President Joe Biden's 2024 re-election campaign. She was also working behind the scenes for President Obama and has come up through the farm union - with its prior stance against illegal immigration. 

It is quite possible that there is some internecine struggle for power inside the Democrat party, and someone wants her gone, and is attacking her by attacking her grandfather's legacy.

For whatever reason, the Democrats are proceeding apace with airbrushing Cesar Chavez from Democrat political history. 

Three Attacks. Three States. Democrats Still No On DHS Funding.

There were three Islamic terrorist attacks in the past week.

One in New York.

One in Virginia.

One in Michigan.

And all six Democrat senators from these states have uniformly continued to refuse to vote for funding the Department of Homeland Security.  

Verily, they have learned nothing and forgotten nothing.

Only Democrat Senator Fetterman had the basic common sense among Democrats to vote for funding DHS.

The Democrats are once again prioritizing illegal aliens over Americans. 

SOTU, So Good

President Trump's showmanship and brashness was fully on display last night.

From the honoring of the US Hockey team to the the well-deserved publicly made awards for valor and gallantry to heroes assembled in the visitors' galley, it hit all the right notes, with a little over the top boasting that we have come to expect from President Trump.

The energy he had giving a very long speech certainly gives an indication of his continued fitness as President, and gives lie to the idea that he is tired or incapable of holding office as was his predecessor at this stage,the SOTU showed a very clear divide between Democrats and the rest of the country.

The State of The Union address yet again publicly and firmly put the Democrats on the 20% side of 80/20 issues.

The Democrats simply could not support the idea that they should represent the interests if Americans over illegal immigrants - and everyone watching saw that quite clearly.

That the Democrats could not stand and honor those who lost their lives to illegal alien criminals, and to criminals released on no-cash-bail and Democrat soft-on-crime policies was also clearly seen. 

From Rashida Tlaib's F___k ICE! badge, which was very classy; to Ilhan Omar getting all out of sorts when the $18 billion in Somali Fraud in Minnesota was pointed out, to Al Green's acting out and getting ejected yet again, the Democrat's performative outbursts for their base likely made their base happy, and turned everyone else off about them if they were watching.

Not all Democrats showed up in white as had been previously announced as a form of protest, but some did.  Democrats have a habit of dressing in all white for protesting major political events.  Perhaps someone pointed out the optics of doing so this time would be less than optimal.   No pointy hats on the Dems this time, thankfully.

In short Trump, while being bombastic firmly fixed the Dems on multiple issues as being out of step with ordinary Americans - and got coverage for many issues the Dems would rather be swept under the rug. 

The speech was overall very good, albeit overly long, with an energetic and optimistic look ahead for the country -- and it properly honored numerous American heroes. 

2026 Starting Off With A Bang

Waking up to find Venezuela's dictator in custody, and Venezuelans around the world are celebrating is rather a nice way to begin a Saturday.

The US went in and grabbed Maduro, ostensibly for drug and terrorism charges and his role in importing illegal drugs into the United States.

The unsealed indictment makes for interesting reading.  

The drug conspiracy and terrorism charges  seem rather convincing, but some of the indictment, namely the firearms charges, reads like it was pulled off a domestic drug dealer form indictment.

The firearm charges - namely possession of machine guns, and the carrying of firearms in furtherance of a crime -  appear rather aout of place - considering there is no allegations that the firearms were ever carried in the US or US territory by any of the named defendants. 

Strange stuff indeed. On the upside that's one dictator removed and a chance for the actually elected opposition to have a chance to dismantle the chavismo dictatorship and have a free(r) country again.

In other news, protests against the regime continue in Iran, and those protests should be supported. With any luck the mullahs too will experience regime change and the middle east will become a lot more stable and free as well.

Certainly an interesting start to the year. 

So It Is Now Ok To Hit Someone With A Sandwich In DC

NBC News: Jury acquits D.C. 'sandwich guy' charged with chucking a sub at a federal agent

Certainly not a great precedent and a decision based on politics rather than legal principles.

But, given it was a DC jury and the person hit by a sandwich was an ICE agent and because Trump, it is easy to understand how the jury ignored the evidence and found the thrower not guilty of a misdemeanor for the assault, buying into the argument that he had a First Amendment right to assault a federal officer.

Whether it would have been the ICE Agent's First Amendment right to then take said sub sandwich and shove it down Sean Dunn's throat is unresolved.

Hitting someone with an object is an assault.

It gets charged as an assault as we want to, theoretically, let the cooler-head government handle the criminal action rather than require the victim of an assault take matters into their own hands and school the assaulter to seek justice and thus lead to more violence. 

By allowing politics to degrade what was clearly an assault into a non-crime, the jury just harmed the very basis of the social contract in the District.

At this point, based on this precedent, you can now probably throw a sandwich at someone with no legal repercussions in DC. The knuckle-sandwich you may get in response, however, will be harder to avoid.

It is also an open question as to what else this ruling allows you to throw at federal agents with zero consequences and whether that immunity from criminal charges will continue when the Democrats are in charge. 

No Kings, Just Oligarchs

Surprising absolutely no one, it turns out the "No Kings" rallies are heavily funded by the Left's oligarchs.

 Far from a grassroots protest, this one is the Left's fully-funded attempt at a color revolution when they can't tolerate losing an actual free and fair election.

The Schumer Shutdown

Well Day 1 into the shutdown and so far the United States has continued to chug right along.  Indeed many would argue it is working better than before and saving money, too.

With essential government functions untouched, mayhaps everyday Americans will start asking themselves why are we are paying for all these non-essentials?

I'm not sure how well the Democrat's demands for funding for healthcare for illegal aliens and funding for NPR to end the shutdown are resonating with everyday Americans.  They're both rather poor hills to die upon.

Anyway, just gotta say, poor Senator Schumer.

I mean when you've lost CNN less than a day into your shutdown pageantry, and they use your own recent words about not doing shutdowns against you,  it may be time to reconsider the tactic.

Don't Threaten Us With A Good Time

Joy Reid, continuing the strategy of the Democrats and their supporters in the media being on the 20 side of any 80/20 issue. Here its likely the 2 of a 98/2 issue.

Now, It Is Both

Charles Krauthamer had his finger on the pulse of the American body politic when he wrote:

To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.

This tracked well.  Conservatives generally thought liberals were simply being stupid about their beliefs and related policy choices, such as the liberal positions (manly of them impressively held together simultaneously) that:

    Men and women are the same;

    There are more than two genders;

    You can choose your own pronouns; 

    Men can be women, and can play in women's sports and wander into women's bathrooms; 

    Trans women are women; 

    Teens are too young for a tattoo without parental permission, but they can   have irreversible body-altering surgery without parental knowledge or   consent;

    DEI;

   ACAB;

    Law enforcement, jails and incarceration are a "sickness";     

   Michael Brown was a gentle giant that dindu nuthin';

   George Floyd was a saint; 

   The mentally ill just see the world differently; 

    No requirement for cash bail for criminals;

    A revolving door justice system; and many other positions that are far from mainstream but pushed often to the point that people opposing those views were cancelled, called racists, fascists or what have you.

Even after the murder of Iryna Zarutska, conservatives just thought liberals were really stupid to hold such policies that kept leading to terrible results for  innocents in society.

No cash bail for violent offenders, a revolving door justice system, and "equity" in the criminal justice system led the murderer to be released immediately after 14 arrests on a verbal promise he'd show up for his latest offense that all came together to lead to her murder.

Yep, conservatives still considered liberals to be stupid. 

After the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and seeing the joyous reaction to that assassination both online and on the mainstream media by liberals, conservatives now consider liberals to be both stupid and evil.

Given where liberals considering conservatives to be evil has led, that conservatives are now considering liberals to be evil should be a rather sobering thought.

The Left: We Were Sure, But Now It's "Complicated"

Leftists and Anti-Republicans were busy publicly claiming the murderer of Charlie Kirk was MAGA or Republican and a Groyper, or that this was "Right on Right" murder.

Since those pronouncements, after furiously groyping for straws, the left has come up empty.

Even after going so far as to photo-shopping a Trump t-shirt on the killer to hide that it was a leftist, and claiming he must be Republican because his parents were Republican, the truth did indeed come out that he was quite left, was sleeping with a trans furry partner, and killed Charlie Kirk because had "enough of his hatred", likely because his disagreed with Kirk's take on transies - or more likely he disagreed with the views of Straw-Charlie Kirk created by the Left rather than Charlie Kirk's actual views.

So now, the leftists, after being shown pretty darn dispositively that the killer was not right wing, nor Groyper, nor Republican, are heading to their next rampart of  "oh, it's complicated and we don't know his ideology".

Funny how you were so darn sure he was right wing based on no real evidence, and now you claim you don't know, it's complicated, and you can shrug it off, eh? 

Notice how they just can't admit they were wrong.

Head Clearing

To escape much of the ugliness online with Leftist's celebration of the murder of Charlie Kirk, including by many people whom I thought knew better and would act better (Boy, was I wrong about that), and the other horrible events of the week, I decided to get a bit of a break in this morning.

So, I drove out and then hit the West Bloomfield Nature Trail this morning, increasing the load in the rucksack with another 5 pound soft weight to 30 pounds for a solo ruck. 

30 pounds felt somehow markedly heavier than the 25 pounds from Tuesday, which of course was heavier than the previous 20.   I figure I will keep adding weight as I go to increase the workout.

That this ruck hopefully would clear my head a bit was the goal, as well as the bonus of getting a workout in. 

Of course, it started sprinkling rain as I began, which was not in the forecast, but that soon cleared up.

 Getting into the trees and away from the sounds of traffic and the day-to-day was rather nice.

 

Quite a few people about, but I soon managed to get on my own and just concentrate on maintaining a decent pace and enjoy the quiet.

I was doing a 19-minute mile pace for most of the ruck, but by mile 4 I was slowing down to a 20-minute mile pace.

Solo rucking is different from group rucking.  No banter or chit-chat or conversation, just moving along looking at the greenery and keeping moving. Quite calming, actually.

Certainly a bit more introspective, and it lacks the internalized peer pressure that makes you not back off your pace in a group.  You don't want to slow down the group or be one to give up during a task. It also lacks the outside encouragement that others in the group give including regular check-ins to see that people are ok.

Surprisingly, I'm not the slowest and most out of shape person in the rucking group, which is nice.

 I ended up doing 4.7 miles in 1.33 hours and an overall average pace of 19.55. Not a bad beginning.

It did help clear my head a bit, and I got to be inn a calm space and see some wildlife, too.

If you're getting all wound up about the terrible news and events of the past week, put the phone down, step away from the ugliness of social media, get outside, and get yourself refocused. 

The ugliness will sadly all still be there when you get back, but you deserve a break from it.
