We've Got 'Holy Grail' of Shipwrecks
This wreck was apparently found in 2011 and the divers waited until now to announce the find.
It may very well be the elusive Griffon, as the bowsprit has an ornately carved Griffin and the ship allegedly matches the design and technologies of the period.
It will be interesting to see if it is confirmed to indeed be La Griffon.
It seems to be a different wreck from the one that
Libert was exploring, so either one may be the ship or niether may be it and the ship may still waiting on the lake bottom to be discovered.
