Thanksgiving while ended has left us with lots of turkey and delicious leftovers. The turkey I made came out great, and the side dishes were scrumptious and left us pleasantly full and thankful indeed.
More importantly, today is the day that Child Number 1 turns 14.
As tradition requires, the day began with a happy birthday cherry cheesecake.
Homemade of course, it was delicious as always. This year the candles acted as mini sparklers to liven things up a bit. After all, you only turn 14 once.
Then she opened her presents and really liked them which was excellent.
Since the birthday takes place on Black Friday, there is now a frenzy of online shopping going on, then there's a planned trip to the mall later this afternoon (Somebody save me!), and there will be dinner out at Abby's favorite Japanese noodle place.
Happy Birthday to the best 14-year old I know.
