The filibuster is, per the Democrats, a racist, anti-Democracy "archaic legislative norm" and a terrible impediment to their agenda.
It sis uch a bad, terrible no good thing - that the Senate Democrats themselves just used it few days ago to defeat a bill they didn't like: Fox News: Democrats slammed for blocking Russia sanctions bill using filibuster they've decried as racist
The Democrats sure lack self-awareness now don't they? Either that or they count on people not paying attention and rthe media not reporting their ever-shifting stances.
Using the very thing they are decrying and going as far as censuring one of their own for advocating keeping it in place when it blocks their initiatives, when at the same time they have no problem using the same tool themselves when it suits them contemporaneously with them decrying the existence of such a tool and claiming using it is racist and anti-democratic - as they use it.
Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds and all that I suppose.
No worries though, should the Republicans take back the Senate in the November 2022 elections, I expect the Democrats as a party will do an about-face regarding the filibuster with it to be publicly depicted as the greatest, most patriotic, and anti-racist invention ever, so fast that anyone looking for logical consistency from them will get whiplash.
