So, what faction of the Democratic Party wants Mallory McMorrow out of the US Senate race for Michigan that they had CNN run with the dirt it found on her?

Not to mention the tweets show her clear disdain of Michigan, which is not a good look when you're running as the Democrat candidate for US Senate from Michigan. 

So, after the Michigan Democratic Party endorsed progressive pro-Hamas Defund ICEr Abdul El-Sayed as their preferred candidate, the two remaining opponents in the race for the Dem Primary were Mallory McMorrow who is essentially progessive-lite, and Haley Stevens, who is a mainstream-ish Democrat, with Mallory trailing in the polls right behind Abdul.

So, was this timely drop the progressive pro-El Sayed faction trying to get her eliminated to clear the progressive space on the ballot?

Or, was this the more centrist and less insane pro-Stevens faction that figured hopefully correctly, that Michigan really wasn't ready for an Islamist Progressive Marxist candidate that hangs out with the guy that calls for murdering his political opponents and that America deserved 9/11?

So, anyone got K-Files to retrieve El-Sayed's deleted tweets yet, as his existing ones are bad enough? 

Giving For Divided Government Certainly Can't Hurt

Given the likelihood that Trump will be unable to sufficiently prove fraud, no matter how impressively suspicious the results have been, control of the federal government and the chance for divided government now hinges on the results of two upcoming senate races in Georgia.

If you want Republicans to hold the Senate, want divided government, and want some kind of check on the progressive push to change America in Venezuela's image, I'd suggest giving to the two Georgia Republican senate candidate's campaigns for the upcoming run-off election in Georgia:

I'd suggest donating at a minimum between the two of them at least as much as the cost of a case of ammo online that you like these days.  

After all, if you want to continue to be able to buy ammo online, not to mention keep the gun you shoot it in (or at least not pay a $200 tax on each "assault" firearm and on every magazine),  you'd better work for a Republican-majority Senate, but that's up to you.

Kid Rock Won't Be Rockin' The Senate Anytime Soon

Kid Rock has now come out and declared his candidacy for senate was just a publicity stunt and he's not actually running.

It's a pity. After all, he might very well have won. The powers-that-be on both sides of the aisle wouldn't have liked that very much, and one wonders what influence that had on his announcement not to run after all.

Apparently Michigan Democrats are, considering that he may run for Senate against the rather lackluster Debbie Stabenow.

How do we know this? Because they suddenly decide to write editorials against him and accuse him of racism and protest him being the opening act at the new Little Caesars Arena.

I sure as heck hope he runs, it's quite clear that Democrats both consider Stabenow vulnerable and Kid Rock a real threat to her seat considering they're playing the race card at him fast and furious. He'd certainly not be an establishment Republican.

Michigan Republicans Don't Miss An Opportunity To Miss An Opportunity

Obama and the Democrats favorability ratings are at a record low, matched only by their incompetence.

Obamacare is sucking the life out of the economy, people hate it and it's going to get worse.

EPA regs will harm Michigan's auto industry.

Obama's foreign policy is at best a shambles, at worst a complete disaster, as is his push for amnesty.

And Gary Peters has been a lock-step Obama supporter throughout this presidency that makes Jimmy Carter look good.

And the Michigan Republicans put up a candidate against him that can't capitalize on any of this and instead of winning with votes to spare is losing, and losing badly, mainly by running as the Democrat-lite candidate.

Apparently having a few million now legalized low-skilled workers will be a boon to this economy. You know the same economy where there's currently a surplus of low-skilled workers and if anything employers are clamoring for highly specialized skilled workers.

The dubious claim is that legalizing these workers, who are at least in theory already here and working under the table, will result in economic growth and help save Social Security.

In a letter to Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., one of the members of the Senate "Gang of Eight" that is pushing for the overhaul, Social Security Chief Actuary Stephen Goss estimated the bill would add 3.2 million jobs, increase the country's gross domestic product (GDP) by 1.63% and bolster the Social Security trust fund over the next 10 years.

In other words, 3.2 million new legalized workers paying into Social Security at low wages will save the system, the very same system where low wage workers can end up drawing more from it and other programs than they contribute. What could possibly go wrong?

It's only revealed five paragraphs down in the article the real economic effect of such legalization:

However, those who oppose legalization of unauthorized immigrants, such as the Heritage Foundation, say allowing 11 million people who are largely low-skilled to access U.S. taxpayer-funded social benefits will cost more than it generates. A recent Heritage study predicted the bill would cost the country $6.3 trillion over the next 50 years.

Interesting to see that the US Government in taking over GM also adopted GM's economic philosophy.

Please Quit Trying To Do Gun Owners A "Favor" Senator Coburn!

So The Democrat Excerable Background Check plus law went down to a stinging defeat. As it was not just about background checks but was loaded down with tons of anti-gun crap and criminal jeopardy for law-abiding gun owners it couldn't even pass the Democrat controlled Senate.

As gun owners breathe a sigh of relief and hope that this ends the gun control push for now and maybe supply might catch up with demand as a result in the ammo, magazine and gun part markets along comes a Republican to put another log on the fire.

Getting a background check to buy a gun would be as easy as printing out an airplane boarding pass -- if Sen. Tom Coburn has his way.

Coburn's do-it-yourself background check plan -- which would expand the number of gun sales covered by background checks but also attempt to make them more user-friendly -- is one possible path forward for the gun safety legislation now stalled in the Senate. Last week, 41 Republicans and five Democrats voted to block a compromise background check proposal endorsed by many gun control groups but opposed by the National Rifle Association.

Gun control advocates are more skeptical of Coburn's plan, and Coburn himself admitted he doesn't know whether it has the votes to pass. But it appears his plan will get a vote: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., promised as much last week as he pulled the gun bill from the floor, saying he would bring it up again later. Coburn has one co-sponsor, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., but the NRA has been silent on the proposal.

Of course such a proposal is open to lots of questions and its unlikely the gun control types would be satisfied with such a system - indeed they've already said they're not:

"It's unworkable," said Ladd Everitt of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, "and there would be no incentive for any private seller to do a background check under the legislation."

Another problem for gun control advocates: There would be no lasting record of the sale.

"When there's a crime committed, a police agency can go to a manufacturer and ask, 'Hey, where did this gun go?'" said Mark Kelly, who founded Americans for Responsible Solutions with his wife, former Rep. Gabby Giffords. The manufacturer can point to a federally licensed dealer, who would have a paper record of the sale, "and then they can help them solve some crimes," Kelly said.

So sayeth the man that committed a felony straw purchase all on his own by buying an AR15 and then stating his intent was he had bought them for another user.

You won't make the anti-gunners happy with this proposal and it opens the floor for Republicans to cave yet again, so why the heck are you bringing this up now?

Senator Coburn, McCain et al, could you please quit snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?

But its electric power was the reason he bought it.

"It's much cheaper to run it on electricity. And cleaner, of course. So I bought it to get those savings downstream," he said.

Cleaner out the tailpipe perhaps, but not if you take into account the coal needed to provide for the electricity to charge it. Also accoridng to the article he seems to run it on gas a lot, nullifying the whole "cleaner" claim. Nor is the Volt cheaper if you run an total cost of owenrship analysis - wish it was, but it isn't yet.

The article does show that, at least on this occasion, even Senators can be hampered by Washington bureaucracy and regulations, namely the difficulties in getting a charging station for the Volt installed at the Capitol building. Of course unlike us, he can push legislation through to make this annoyance go away.

The sad thing is, he's pretty representative of the congressman that passed the bailout of GM among other things and are helping run this economy into the ground:

At one point, the glowing digital letters on the dashboard made him wrinkle his forehead.

"This A and B, I'll be damned if I know what that means," he said. (A and B are trip odometers for separate journeys.)

Democrats in this modern day can't even figure out what a trip odometer is, much less the fine art of good governance.

The opposition sprang up a day after Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., unveiled long-delayed legislation that would transform the nation's health care system, requiring almost everyone to buy insurance, making insurance companies cover people with pre-existing medical conditions and reining in spiraling health care costs.

Guess who are some of Baucus' biggest campaign contributors? Nonprofit Health Insurance provides such as Blue Cross.

It's the best Democrat Senate poitical contributors can buy.

Senate rejects amendment to allow for National Concealed Carry Reciprocity

By a vote of 58-39 the Senate fell two votes short of approving the amendment to allow for national reciprocity.

The same old tired arguments about blood in the streets and - gasp - untrained permit holders daring to carry in restrictive states were propounded as reasons for voting against the amendment.

A new interesting argument against having such reciprocity, one that is almost laughable given the proponents of it -- States Rights.

Other opponents said the proposal infringed on states' rights, usually an important principle for gun rights groups. Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., said it would override the laws of 11 states — California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Rhode Island — and the District of Columbia — which do not allow carry permit reciprocity with other states.

Has Durbin et al ever raised States Rights in order to oppose federal gun control affecting all the states that they have pushed for? I thought not.

As soon as I can find out, I will list the Senators who voted against. I suspect both Michigan senators did so -- which is of course riddiculous as Michigan as a state has by law a policy granting reciprocity to all permits from every State, so in failing to support the amendment these Senators would have acted completely contrary to the interests of their constituents in Michigan.

As suspected, both Stabenow and Levin voted against enhancing their consituents' civil rights. Also a nice job on the part of Senators Lugar (R-IN) and Voinovich (R-OH) for casuing the bill to fail. Had you two Republican turncoats voted for it, the amendment would have passed. Thanks so much.

Burris caught in the Blago-web - Defense: You didn't ask me

So it turns out after all that Illinois Senator Roland Burris, appointed to replace Obama in the wake of the Blagojevich sale of the seat scandal turns out to be less than squeaky clean in the matter.

So squeaky that he offered to make a contribution to help Gov. Blagojevich in a conversation with the governor's brother and campaign manager.

On the call, Burris tells Robert Blagojevich about his interest in being appointed to President Barack Obama’s former Senate seat and his desire to help the governor raise campaign money. As seen in the Detroit Free Press-

His defense to the claim that he misled the Senatorial panel vetting him before taking the seat?

U.S. Sen. Roland Burris said today that he did not mislead lawmakers investigating his Senate appointment because they failed to “follow up with the questions” that could have revealed a conversation he had about fundraising for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

“It is not upon a person who’s testifying to go out of his way on anything. It is the person who has to ask the questions,” Burris said.

Spoken like a true Democrat.

No need for honesty or full disclosure before a panel about to approve your appointment to one of the highest offices in the land.

On the next Democrat to be questioned, hopefully the committee will remember to ask "Is there anything you're not telling us?"

Senatorial Race in Minnesota not just within the Margin of error

It's now well within the Margin of Fraud.

As the Minnesota State Canvassing Board hands the election to Democrat Al Franken, the questions over the recounts selective techniques mount up.

In Shameless. Dems Steal Minnesota Senate Seat From Coleman Gateway Pundit points out that as reported in the Wall Street Journal that

more than 25 precincts now have more ballots than voters who signed in to vote...

And its not just a few votes, for example one county precinct alone had 177 more votes than voters.

At that point, with all these irregularities in the recount, replete with found and reinterpreted ballots its fraud. To even consider counting ballots when there are more ballots than voters is ludicrous, and a gift of ACORN of the election to Franken.

Indeed, regardless of the fraud, the Democrats will brazenly declare Franken the victor and urge everyone to "move on" now the damage has been done.

At this point a new election should be held, with non-Minnesotans acting as monitors and counters. Cheat and win should never be an American election slogan.
