The weather people forecasted some storms last night and they weren't kidding.
At 03:30 this morning the tornado sirens sounded, and remained blaring for quite some time.
Considering it was dark out, very windy and rainy, with lots of lightning flashes and thunder, we decided discretion was the better part of valor, gathered the kids up and took them and the dog to the basement and tried to get some sleep.
The Detroit News: Storms knock out power to 140K in Metro Detroit.
No damage to our house, just some tree limbs and branches down and we lost power for a bit but nothing major aside from a lack of sleep.

The way they were talking here we were facing armageddon or something.
Thankfully it fizzled.
Glad everyone is OK!
Jay: Yep, I'm quite happy at the lack of serious devastation.
Keads: Thanks!
Well, since my daughter replied to a text today I guess they're OK. And that ugly line that crossed you is getting ready to smack us this afternoon.
