The City of Detroit is admittedly too corrupt and incompetent to manage Head Start Funds.
The Detroit Free Press: No more Head Start cash for City of Detroit
Following complaints that the Detroit Human Services Department fostered an environment of nepotism, reckless spending and corruption to the detriment of the early childhood education program Head Start, the federal government plans to stop sending $50 million a year to the city to fund the program, the Free Press learned Thursday.
Mayor Dave Bing's office supports the idea and agreed to drop the city's handling of the program.
You know the Detroit corruption and incompetence associated with these Head Start funds must be incredibly blatant and obvious when the City's own mayor agrees the city can't be trusted with them.
Now take that $50 Million in corruption and incompetence, multiply it by every department city-wide and you can answer quite easily why Detroit is the budgetary and social mess it is right now.

In addition less profanity in the comments would similarly be advisable.
While thoughtful comments are welcome, defamatory or infantile ones are not.
