The push for Eurabia and open-ended immigration of assimilating Muslim radicals into Europe has consequences:

The Dutch government raised its terror threat level Wednesday from "limited" to "substantial," saying Dutch citizens are traveling to Syria to fight in the civil war and could return battle-hardened, traumatized and further radicalized.

"The chance of an attack in the Netherlands or against Dutch interests abroad has risen," the country's National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism said in a statement.

Who could ever have predicted this? Who knew that radical Muslims when faced with an open multicultural society and granted European citizenship would then instead of adopting European enlightenment ideals turn and pose a threat to that society?

Substantially not Gouda indeed.

Yahoo News: Rabbi beating sparks fury in Germany

The brutal daylight beating of a rabbi in front of his six-year-old daughter sparked furious condemnation in Germany Thursday, with some Jewish groups saying they feared a rise in anti-Semitic behaviour.

However, it is not the native Germans doing the attacks, at least not this time around:

The attack on the 53-year-old by four youths, thought to be Arabs, left him hospitalised and the Jewish community outraged, already up in arms over a court ruling in western Germany that outlaws religious circumcision. One youth smashed the rabbi in the face several times after asking him if he was Jewish, apparently because he was wearing a traditional head covering, police said. The assailants fled, but not before aiming death threats at the young girl, according to authorities, who have launched an investigation into the Tuesday attack.

Unfortunately such attacks against Jews in Germany by Muslims is hardly a rare occurrence:

Berlin rabbi Andreas Nachama told AFP that Germany had seen over the past few years "a rising hostility towards Jews due to the conflict in the Middle East."

"Verbal attacks against Jews have increased," said Gideon Joffe, head of the Jewish Community of Berlin, in an interview with local daily Tagesspiegel.

Meanwhile, the rector of the Abraham Geiger College in Berlin, an academic seminary for rabbis, warned his students against wearing the yarmulke, or traditional Jewish head covering.

"If you are no longer seen as a Jewish person, you are safer," Walter Homolka told Friday's edition of the Berliner Morgenpost daily.

I'd like to think American Jews' reactions in the face of similar attacks would be markedly different in both tone and measure.

After all, the last time German Jews decided to meekly weather things out thinking it can't get much worse as they kept proclaiming they were good Germans really didn't help much.

Canadian Money Maker Makes Multiculturalism Missteps

It appears that placing a female scientist on the back of the new Canadian $100 polymer bill is being found to be both objectionable and racist.

Bank of Canada bans image of Asian woman from $100 bill

The Bank of Canada purged the image of an Asian-looking woman from its new $100 banknotes after focus groups raised questions about her ethnicity.

The original image intended for the reverse of the plastic polymer banknotes, which began circulating last November, showed an Asian-looking woman scientist peering into a microscope.

The image, alongside a bottle of insulin, was meant to celebrate Canada’s medical innovations.

But eight focus groups consulted about the proposed images for the new $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 banknote series were especially critical of the choice of an Asian for the largest denomination.

“Some have concerns that the researcher appears to be Asian,” says a 2009 report commissioned by the bank from The Strategic Counsel, obtained by The Canadian Press under the Access to Information Act.

“Some believe that it presents a stereotype of Asians excelling in technology and/or the sciences. Others feel that an Asian should not be the only ethnicity represented on the banknotes. Other ethnicities should also be shown.”

A few even said the yellow-brown colour of the $100 banknote reinforced the perception the woman was Asian, and “racialized” the note.

But even removing the image and de-ethnic-contenting (if there is such a word) the image is causing a problem:

The Bank of Canada apparently took seriously … racist comments and feedback from the focus groups and withdrew the image,” said May Lui, interim executive director of the group’s Toronto chapter.

“That was upsetting simply because of the history and longevity of Chinese-Canadians in this country.”

Lui demanded the bank “acknowledge their error in caving to the racist feedback.”

Victor Wong, the group’s national executive director, called on the bank to amend its policy of not depicting visible minorities.

“You’re erasing all of us,” he said from Toronto. “Your default then is an image with Caucasian features.”

When you play racial politics and choose imagery for diversity's sake rather than for merit, you're going to offend someone.

Look, let's assume the bottle is indeed insulin as described. Instead of a composite fictionalized female with objectionable Asian or objectionable non-Asian features chosen for the sake of fashionable multiculturalism, how about they put an actual Canadian hero actually involved with the creation of insulin - Dr. Frederick Banting on the bill?

How the heck did they miss that opportunity?

After all, Dr. Banting has saved or made livable millions of lives and will go on to save millions in the future. The composite multicultural character, not so much.

Of course, Dr. Banting was one of those now dead old white males the multiculturalists are now trying to get away from, but at least it would be both historically accurate and a celebration of a true Canadian hero rather than a composite drawn by committee to celebrate the diversity of the easily offended.

We stopped at a London Tim Horton's to make a pit stop and get some of their very good coffee.

We noticed a couple London Police cruisers parked up front.

Very interesting, and I daresay taking multiculturalism a little too far, especially as no other languages were evident and Arabic is not an official language in Canada...not yet, at least.

Tolerance From Sweden - Muslim Man Wins Discrimination Case For Being Fired For Refusing To Shake Hands With A Woman

Sweden's unemployment agency has been found guilty of discrimination for expelling a Muslim man from a job training program because he refused to shake hands with a woman.

A Stockholm court Monday ordered the Public Employment Service to pay 50,000 kronor ($6,700) in damages to an immigrant from Bosnia who lost his jobless benefits when he was kicked out of the program.

Citing his faith, the man had refused to shake hands with a woman when he was interviewing for an internship. The agency said his behavior was part of the reason he didn't get the position, and decided to exclude him from the program.

The court ruled that the man was discriminated against because of his religion. It wasn't immediately clear whether the ruling would be appealed.

Now does the woman get a chance to sue him for discrimination for refusing to shalke hands with her, or would the multi-cultis' heads explode over that one?

And in other Islamic discrimination news a British teacher is fired for being intolerant because he complained his students were cheering for Jihad and stating that Jews and Christians like himself are Muslim's enemies.

Foxnews: Teacher Claims He Was Fired After Complaining Muslim Pupils Called 9/11 Hijackers 'Heroes'

A British teacher was fired from his job after complaining that some of his Muslim students were celebrating the Sept. 11 hijackers as "heroes," the Daily Mail reported.

Nicholas Kafouris, 40, who taught at East London's Bigland Green Primary School for 12 years, is suing the school for racial discrimination after he was allegedly forced from his post because he would not tolerate the remarks of his students.

Kafouris claims members of his class, some as young as eight years old, openly praised Islamic extremists in his classroom, hailing the terrorists behind the attacks of Sept. 11 as "martyrs," the Daily Mail reported.

Kafouris alleges the students told him they "want to be Islamic bombers when we grow up," and "the Christians and Jews are our enemies, you too because you're a Christian," according to the Daily Mail.

You can't make this stuff up, as situations like this are quite unbelievable. But in this benighted age it is not fiction but fact.
