Illegals Doing Murders Americans Won't Do

Yet another mass killing that doesn't fit the narrative and will drop form the news soon.

I mean it was a good starting narrative: Some whacko in Texas kills neighbors when they ask him to stop shooting his AR-15 in the part of his backyard near their property.

Reports then identified the shooter as Hispanic, which started to chip away at the narrative.

Next, reports indicated his immigration status was "unclear" (sadly that story was later "updated" and that reference erased) - that's called a clue.

Now that he has been arrested we  find out that, per the Detroit News Sheriff: Suspected Texas gunman caught hiding under laundry:

The alleged shooter is a Mexican national who has been deported four times, according to U.S. immigration officials. The gunman was first deported in March 2009 and last in July 2016. He was also deported in September 2009 and January 2012.

So he wasn't just illegal, he was repeatedly deported as a criminal illegal.

We also find out that 4 of the 5 victims were also illegals, with the fifth victim arriving illegally but getting her status "adjusted" afterwards.

A secure border sure would be nice, now wouldn't it?  After all we really don't want illegals doing murders Americans won't do, now do we?

"No guns for illegals" is hardly going to be a good rallying cry for the gun banners, now is it?

After all, that's already the law.  But, the progressive gun banners also argue that no person is illegal, so it's a bit of a conundrum for them.

The Narrative Is Nothing If Not Predictable

The California mass killing at a dance hall that left ten dead has followed the by now rather predictable narrative:

1.  First, the claim is made before the facts are out that it was a race-based attack and blame is placed on white supremacy or "hate".

2,  When the facts then show it was an Asian man attacking other Asians, the narrative shifts immediately, without missing a beat, to "gun violence".

The shift from blaming the attacker to blaming a tool is as rapid as it is predictable.

The New York Times: Good morning. Once again, America is confronting the aftermath of a gun massacre.

. . .

The gunman, whom the authorities identified as 72-year-old Huu Can Tran, is believed to have then gone to a dance hall in the neighboring city of Alhambra. But he fled, according to the authorities. Officers later found him in a parked van after he reportedly shot himself to death.

The gunman used “a magazine-fed semiautomatic assault pistol” that is probably not legal in California, Luna said. His motives remain under investigation.

“Gun violence needs to stop,” Luna said. “There’s too much of it.”

This kind of mass shooting has become tragically common in the U.S.; what would be a rare horror in any other developed country is typical here. Yet the cause is no mystery. America has an enormous amount of guns, making it easier for someone to carry out a deadly shooting.

. . .

If anything, the chart, which uses data from 2017 and 2018, understates America’s problem. The U.S. rate of gun homicides has increased in recent years, according to the Small Arms Survey.

And just like that, right on cue, the narrative jumped from  the bugbear of a race-based attack (and one should note that in the US, the vast majority of attacks on Asians from non-Asians are committed by African-Americans, not whites) to "gun violence".

Funny how the NYT notes gun violence has "increased in recent years"  but doesn't look at all into the reasons for that like the Ferguson effect, the Defund the Police Movement, the End Cash Bail Movement, and the fact that the majority of violence is confined to a small but active criminal subset of the population that gets the revolving door treatment from the justice system.

Recent Dearbon Incident Narrative Collapses

The Detroit Free Press: Police: Officers fatally shoot man after Dearborn mosque arson

So Sumdood, name still not officially released, sets a fire at the outside of a Mosque and then takes a shot at police when they show up.  Police perform the appropriate response and dropped him quickly and effectively to the rather cold outside air temperature.

Abed Ayoub, a Dearborn native who's the national legal and policy director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, commended "the quick and rapid response by" Dearborn police. "We trust that all law enforcement agencies who are involved will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause and motivation behind the attack," Ayoub said.

Well, no.  Expect the media and everyone else including all the politicos who condemned this act as terrorism against a house of worship in the article to immediately lose interest in the incident.

Why?

Because it turns out the attacker was an Arab Muslim who did it for so far unidentified reasons.  No telling if he's a Sunni annoyed at a Shia mosque or anything else so far. Do note that whenever a Muslim attacks a religious institution the first claim is its due to "mental health reasons" -  interesting, that.

Both the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News have failed to update their reporting to reflect that, allowing the false claim that this was a "domestic terrorism" (read right wing or MAGA types incident to fester.

Dear Media: No, That Word Does Not Mean What You Think it Means

To the leftist media, everything they disagree with is depicted as far-right, with no other possible explanation even when the reality is staring them right in the face.

For example:

Attitude.com: TBILISI PRIDE CANCELLED AFTER VIOLENT FAR-RIGHT HOMOPHOBES ATTACK PRIDE OFFICE

Given Atittude is a British left wing media rag, it of course depicts the attackers as "violent far-right homophobes".

Let's note that Tbilisi is in Georgia, but not the Georgia you're thinking of when you normally hear the word Georgia.  Think right beside Russia and not containing  Atlanta.

Little problem with the description is the ones attacking the pride parade there aren't you typical right-wing extremists so stereotyped by the media, instead they're Muslims, wearing easily identifiable Muslim garb as can be seen in the video.

But, the left can't bring itself to say "Muslims Attack Pride Office", nor bring itself to identify the actual makeup of the attackers, considering Muslims are an important component of their rather shaky coalition and must be presented at all times as part of a peaceful religion and certainly not as perpetrators of violence against another favored constituent group.

Instead, it needs to be the amorphous threat of far right extremists.

Not what the facts actually are, but they need that construct to keep together a rather shaky coalition composed of those who would be thrown off buildings for being who they are by certain others with a certain religion in the same coalition should they get their way.

Kinda like how the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting has a narrative set and is  being depicted in our media and by Biden as a hate crime against gays by a religion-and-ideology-not-mentioned-attacker, while instead the attacker clearly was and self-declared to be an Islamic extremist bent on killing Americans and apparently didn't know at the onset of his attack the nature of the nightclub.
